Comments about Princeton Tec Push Front Bike Light:
I have been using this light since late October, just after the time change. I commute to work almost every day, so I cycle home every night well after sunset. My trip is about 8 miles each way unless I make detours to do other things.
This light actually lets me see the road. Maybe not as well as a custom light rig, but much better than any other light I've used. I have in the past used custom rigs from Cygolight and Blackburn (where I always wondered if the light would actually last until I got home), and more standard lights by Cateye or Planet Bike (where the light was okay, but not quite good enough for an 8-mile trip). I actually feel safe on the road when using this light.
The light takes a trio of AAA batteries, so if the batteries ever run down in the middle of a ride, it takes me only a moment to pull over and switch out for some spares, and I am only one service station away from as many replacement batteries as I could possibly want. Can't do that with any of the expensive lights with irreplaceable custom batteries and no spares, and those rigs have left me without a front headlight multiple times.
It is rated for 4 hours at full brightness on a set of AAA batteries, but that applies to 1.5V Alkalines. Battery life on a trio of Energizer NiMH batteries (1.2V) was about 2 to 2.5 hours. I have switched out for a set of Enloop NiMH batteries and have not yet determined how long they last, but certainly more than that.
The only way to tell that the batteries are running low is to switch from the hi-beam to the low-beam setting. If you notice no difference when you make the switch, then the batteries are low and may stop working at any time.
I really have not found anything significant wrong with it. This is how bike lights should be made.
A friend has already bought and loved this light on my recommendation, and I am recommending it to other people.

Comments about Princeton Tec Push Front Bike Light:
This light provides good visibility on dark streets, but it is difficult to put onto the mount. It fell off and now it is broken and I can't get to the battery so it is useless to me. I attempted to contact Princeton Tec customer services for advice and got no response. I also do not like that the light has a swivel function, because I had to keep adjusting it while riding. If you're very careful with it, its a decent light.

Comments about Princeton Tec Push Front Bike Light:
I've used the light on a couple of single track night rides and so far, no issues with the mount on relatively bumpy trails. The light is bright and works well combined with a headlamp. Casing quality seems good.

Comments about Princeton Tec Push Front Bike Light:
I am now ready to return my second PT Push. The first was returned after the little teeny weeny plastic tabs holding the cap and the body all broke. I really LOVED the illumination so I got another one with the intention of being really careful when I changed batteries. The light began flickering off when I hit bumps. After checking, I noticed that one of the cheap plastic tabs had broken off and the cap wouldn't stay on tightly enough to keep the battery engaged. Sucks. Love this light.

Comments about Princeton Tec Push Front Bike Light:
Am sorry to hear that others have had problems w/ this light.
I have only had good experience w/ it thus far.
I have looked at at a lot of bike lights and for the price, for:
• general cycling at night
• shorter evening commutes
• riding around town at dusk/at night
this is the best thing going!
The quality, strength, color of the beam is very good.
The side light, which you can turn on or off, is great for being seen.
Handsome design. Looks and feels solid.
[So good-looking that I don't leave it on the bike
when it's locked up (away from home).
I simply don't want the light to get swiped.]
I like it so much I bought a second one for a friend.
[For a 24-hour MTB race, I'd use something different,
but thats a VERY different application, and price-point!
I'd use Dinotte lights, which, sadly, REI no longer seems to carry.]

Comments about Princeton Tec Push Front Bike Light:
This is my 2nd one. I returned my first one for the same issue. After about 3 casual rides, the light shuts off on the smallest bump. I'm now going to take my 2nd one in, and get a different brand all together. The suckie part is, i bought my girlfriend the same light for christmas, and i am going to have to return her's too, i'm sure. Horrible light!

As others noted, hitting even a moderate bump causes the light to turn off. Unacceptable, do not buy this.

Comments about Princeton Tec Push Front Bike Light:
Nice mount, compact and very bright. I like the red flashers on the side as well. This light lasted a week before it started turning itself off repeatedly. There is a touch switch on the back that turns it on and cycles through bright, dim, flash mode. However, it turns itself off repeatedly even when not on the bike. On the bike, the bumps on paved roads will facilitate the failure. I'm constantly turning it back on.
I suspect that where the light head makes contact with the batteries isn't well designed and due to the electronic momentary on-off switch, once there is a power interruption, the light stays off.
