Comments about ALPS Mountaineering Dining Table - Regular - Special Buy:

Great for car camping, picnics, trips to the beach, and most importantly, tailgating. I wouldn't recommend for backcountry backpacking as it's not particularly light. Haven't had this table all that long, but it did great in the cold weather for Packer games.

Table is very compact. Base and surface are separate pieces. Base folds down easily, surface rolls up like a yoga mat and are stored together in an over the shoulder sack. Set up and take down literally takes less than a minute.

The base legs don't fold up intuitively and someone we were tailgating with not familiar with the table actually bent one of the brackets that stabalizes the table because he tried folding it the wrong way. I don't know if the cold weather had anything to do with it. There is a life-time warranty on the table, and ALPS literally sent me a new base within weeks. Great customer service!

Always get lots of compliments on this thing.

Customer service is second-to-none. My small issue with the product was rectified quickly with an email and a few pictures from my phone.

I dig this table, super fast to assemble and useful for an impromptu backyard party or a car camping trip. When I use it at home as an extra dining table I use a table cloth, the top of the table is formed of all these metal slats that are held together with tension. You need a table cloth to make it feel more stable and reduce the amount of space between the slats.
