The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Ahnu Moraga Mesh Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I never got to truly try out this shoe. I tried on 10 1/2's at REI and it felt too short, the tip of my big toe kicked into the rigid front. I felt confident that a size 11 would solve the problem but I had to order them online, since they weren't available at the store. When they arrived I found the toe problem still existed even in the 11's. Everything else about these shoes seemed perfect. They feel like a good blend of trail running and backpacking shoes with solid features. Plus you can tell Ahnu has good, durable double-stitched construction, awesome traction, etc...
I really wanted to make these shoes work so I returned the 11's and picked up 11 1/2's, a full size bigger than my all my other shoes but STILL the toe issue remained. At that point I realized the shoe's form would never match my feet and switched to a different shoe.
Obviously all feet are different, so someone else may not have this issue. Before you buy, try tapping your toe against something solid and see if your big toe smacks the front. I'd hate to have that happen every time you kick a rock over a long hike.

Comments about Ahnu Moraga Mesh Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
The shoes are comfortable. I wear them to work and for short hikes and they hold up well. I have high arches and appreciate the arch support. The laces are a little thin, so I'm unsure how long they'll last. If I wear the shoe for an extended period - more than a work day - it's not unusual to have sore feet at the end. I think this has to do with the cushioning, as the shoes don't pinch. I had a pair of Columbia day hikers that felt like I could wear them 24/7 and never get sore, and I've been looking for the perfect replacement ever since. These Ahnus are close.

Comments about Ahnu Moraga Mesh Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I love my Ahnus, though the particular model I have been wearing is no longer made. I just got a pair of the "Moraga Mesh" in-store to replace them (it was the closest model to the ones I have). The thing that is weirdest about Ahnu is their sizing. I almost always wear a 12, very occasionally a 13; but in Ahnu, a 14 is comfortable -- which is unprecedented -- and a 13 is noticeably too short. Most of the anti-Ahnu complaints I have seen online reference the shoes' length, and note that even going up a half-size did not cure the problem. I'd say: try going up a full size, or even two. But I love these shoes. I have gone through several pairs of other brands of shoes, trying to convince myself that they were comfy, but as to each I finally decided, after blisters and no successful break-in, that they were not okay. The Ahnus were bliss out of the box. Your mileage may vary.

Comments about Ahnu Moraga Mesh Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I was looking for a light hiking-type walking shoe for a trip to Europe where we'd be doing a lot of walking in cities. I wanted something more supportive than a running/walking/cross-training shoe but not a hiking boot. We ended up, like I knew we would, walking miles and miles in London, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam. Always comfortable. No issues: no tread separation, no split seams, no failed glue. Now I'm looking forward to taking them on day hikes in the mountains rather than having to wear my backpacking boots.
