        Who do they think they're kidding? It's pretty evident when you pick up the package there's not enough inside for 2 adults.
        Flavor is either "very subtle" or "lacking". The carrot bits never did rehydrate even after sitting a half hour or better. With a little imagination and some seasonings this would make an acceptable side dish (as it's mostly pasta).
        With the above caveat I'd say give it a try but keep your expectations down.

          We took this on a backpacking overnight trip to a canyon. At the end of a 7-mile hike, I was REALLY looking forward to this meal. Unfortunately, I read the package again while it was sitting and realized that Natural High processes their products on machinery with shellfish. It's in VERY VERY VERY fine print at the bottom, after the standard allergen warning. Granted, it's my fault for not reading the WHOLE package, but it was disappointing to cook it, smell it, and watch others eat it. Heard it was delicious, though!

          It was pretty decent, Im not the biggest fan of white cheese sauce so this wasnt my favorite (personal preference is yellow). Needed a little salt as well, but I dont think this is a negative factor as msot people I think like to control their seasoning levels.

          Prepared this with my daughter because she loves the chicken & pasta I would make at home. She was not keen on the veggies or the freeze dried texture - but she's a kid. I added a little salt and pepper to bring up the flavor and ate both servings! Slept good and was ready for the trail in the morning.

            I made this for dinner one night for my family. They were shocked to learn that it was freeze dried food! Everyone loved it. I would buy it again, plan to recommend it for our next Boy Scout Troop/Crew back packing camp out.

              So I had come to the understanding that if I wanted tasty food in the back country then I would have to be packing in something that I prepared before hand. Not the case any more! I bought a 3 cheese chicken pasta at REI before my last trip and was blown away as to how good it is! I was sharing it with my wife while the other couple we were camping with was filtering their water and my wife asked me if I thought we should let them try it? I looked at her and made the decision that I didnt want to give any extra away because it was just that tasty! I cant wait to try some of their other dishes
