The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Gibbon Classic Slackline Kit - 15 meters:
This is a great first line for anyone looking into slacklining. Set-up is a breeze, one person can do it in a few minutes. The only reason I gave this 4-stars instead of five is that in the process of making it super easy to set-up, it can be hard to get it to lie completely flat. It is not a big deal, and I would definitely buy the line again, but it just takes a jerk every now and then to straighten it out.
Just a note on the difference between 1" and 2" lines, they behave differently, and while one is not necessarily easier than the other it takes a little while to get used to either one. The reason the 2" line is better for beginners is that it is much harder to accidentally slip off the line and nut yourself. The 1" line also flexes a whole lot more than the standard 2" Gibbon (I think this is why gibbon make there extra stretch 2" line), and therefore there are a lot of tricks that you can't do on a standard 2" gibbon.
Overall, this is the perfect beginner line, no special knots or extra parts to loose. I highly recommend this to anyone who want to learn how to slackline.
Don't forget to use tree protection (i.e. old door mats, carpet ext.) to protect your trees.

Comments about Gibbon Classic Slackline Kit - 15 meters:
Slacklining has come a long way from the days of 1" webbing set at chest height being pulled hand tight and using knots and rigging. The Gibbon line simplifies the system down to 2 parts, that can be set up nice a low. Never need to set these lines higher than 3ft. East to tension and learn to walk the line on.
Short, tight and low is the ideal setup for people starting on in slacklining. You wouldn't start rock climbing on 5.12's would you? It could be done but it will take awhile. The Gibbon 2" line makes the learning curve a lot easier. It is also great for advanced users to because it is easy to learn jumps and other dynamic tricks on. Anything you can do on these lines you can do on a 1".
It may look like a tow strap but it is most definitely not a tow strap. You get what you pay for, it might be a little pricey but these aren't cheap lines from a hardware store. They are all certified and tested as an outdoor product specifically for the use as a slackline.

Comments about Gibbon Classic Slackline Kit - 15 meters:
This slackline is so easy to set up. The 2" is VERY easy on the feet. Does not cut your circulation or hurt. I can set it between any two trees or posts in 2 minutes and take it off in one. Because of the rachet you can set it up as long (and hard) as you want, or short and easy.
Comments about Gibbon Classic Slackline Kit - 15 meters:
This works, but it is way overpriced. It is no different than a 2 inch tie-down strap, which can be purchased at a hardware store[$].

Comments about Gibbon Classic Slackline Kit - 15 meters:
Very easy to set up and use. Tensioning is straightforward and sufficient. I bought this product to start slacklining. I like the wider webbing. It makes it easier to get going on the balancing. One odd thing - the Gibbon name is printed repeatedly the full length of one side of the webbing and it readily comes off onto your hands (or bare feet) when handling it. Luckily it is water soluble and rinses off. I hosed off the webbing to get the excess ink off. Otherwise great beginner slack line.

Comments about Gibbon Classic Slackline Kit - 15 meters:
It does indeed look like a large tow strap but don't be fooled. This slackline has a lot more give to it. I began slacklining using a 1" piece of webbing strung up with two carabiners. A friend of mine used a tow strap with a ratchet for his slackline. After having used both of these methods I can say that a professional slackline is the way to go. It's easier to set up and has the right amount of bounce to it. It is even a little too bouncy for me when its set up at full length. When i set it up at about 3/4 length it is the right amount of bounce.

Comments about Gibbon Classic Slackline Kit - 15 meters:
OK line, very slippery though. Not much bounce and not good for tricks. This is part of the challenge but i should warn beginners,IT IS FUN BUT HARD!!! If you do or see yourself doing tricks the Gibbon JIBLINE is the line for you. On the other hand, it is super easy to set up and if you don't do tricks this would be a ok line. One more tip, i would recommend walking this line BAREFOOT!!!
