Comments about CatEye HL-EL 450 Front Bike Light:
Drivers won't have an excuse for not seeing you with this light. In flashing mode, it was illuminating street signs a good 1/2 mile away. I replaced a old gel-cell based halogen lighting system with this. It's a simple lightweight light that is excellent for a commute.

Comments about CatEye HL-EL 450 Front Bike Light:
It's a great light for being seen. On flashing mode in the city, I always see road signs flashing so far off that I swear there must be someone else in front of me, but it's just me.
When it's pitch dark it works pretty well for seeing, though the beam is fairly narrow, and with city lights or at twilight it's not really bright enough as an only light for seeing.
The mount has been pretty solid. It's never slipped or tilted. It does rattle a bit when I ride, but I think it's the on/off switch that's rattling and not the mount. It hasn't been enough rattling to bother me. All in all I've been satisfied with this light.

Comments about CatEye HL-EL 450 Front Bike Light:
This is a really poorly design light. It has the feature that allows you to turn the light left or right 90deg which makes the light vibrate on the mount when pointed straight. It sounds like I have poorly attached fenders when I bike down a normal paved road. I put some cushion inbetween the light and the mount which has helped with the vibration. Also, cateye did away with their normal attachment strap and went with a ratchet type strap which is a firmer plastic. It doesn't work as well and the light slips and points down.
