The NiteFLUX VisionSTICK Enduro 8 has all the functions of the Enduro 4 combined with the latest in high-watt, multi-chip LED technology.

Enduro 8 delivers a ground breaking 540 Lumens of light from a single LED and head unit; run time on 8-watt high beam is 3 hr.
Beam is wide and solidly fills the path ahead; you can ride with confidence rivaling day time conditions
Race mode let's you choose and set your 2 favorite power modes and quickly toggle between them exclusively; you can even choose to just toggle between high beam and off
If you are going on a very long trip you can use economy mode to force your light to half its usual power thereby doubling the run times in all modes
Enduro 8 has metal where it counts for excellent heat transfer combined with high efficiency electronics and temperature sensing to ensure the LED is never over heated
LED light unit and battery mounting locations can be varied depending on your needs
LED light unit includes mounts for handlebar or helmet; VisionSTICK battery can be mounted just about anywhere on bike with the quick-strap double bracket and power cord
Bike light easily converts to a flashlight; simply detach light unit from its mount and attach the VisionSTICK to it
Battery can remain connected to the charging power supply indefinitely because the built-in controller maintains a safe level of charge at all times
Battery light indicator tells you when battery is fully charged
Protection Circuit Module (PCM) safeguards the VisionSTICK battery from over-discharging, electrical shorts, thermal overloading and voltage spikes
Low battery protection; automatic shutdown of the light output occurs to prevent excessive discharge of battery, improving the long-term battery life and performance
Specially made precision prism lens utilizes almost 100% of internal refraction

so this is the second enduro 8 that i've had problems with. upon taking the top off the battery, it turned out that the solder connection to the center point was broke. it's a simple fix but kind of a pain to get it done.

an REI employee also confirmed that he had the same issue with his battery.

it may have been just this batch. perhaps a connector should be used in lieu of soldered joints.
