        The idea behind the bag is good but it's heavy
        before you even put anything in it. The thin
        strap without padding digs into my shoulder. It
        is so uncomfortable for me that I am returning the bag.

          This has become my everyday, everywhere bag. I absolutely love it. I intend to purchase additional bags very similar to this one. Haiku is definitely a great product with practical materials. I have had so many nice comments from people regarding the bag and how they like it as well. The only thing I would change if I could would be that rather than a fastener to keep the saddle bag portion together, it would be great to have a magnet. But other than that, it is amazing! REI is just one of a few select retailers that carry this brand. I have definitely spent more time on the site and in the store now that I have discovered this product.

            I use this as my everyday purse. I can stuff my wallet, a paperback book, and any other basics in the main pocket. The large inside pocket holds some snacks and the front pockets are great for my cell phone and ipod. I don't know that the side pockets would actually hold a water bottle though. The only thing that could be better would be a different latch since it does make it a little slow to get in.
