Slip-lasted for comfort and waterproofed for protection, the Patagonia Ranger Smith Waterproof Mid boots feature uptown style with backcountry performance for excellent all-around use and comfort.

  • Waterproof full-grain leather uppers are sourced from tanneries that strive to minimize harmful effects on the environment caused by their activities
  • 100g Polartec® polyester linings provide excellent insulation, moisture-wicking performance and comfort
  • Dri-Lex® merino wool linings in the footbeds naturally regulate temperature and help move moisture away from feet
  • EVA midsoles are made from 20% recycled EVA and deliver shock absorption for all-day wear
  • Shanks constructed out of recycled polyurethane and regular polyurethane supply stability and support
  • Air Cushion Plus inserts directly under the heels soak up and dissipate impact shocks
  • With 30% recycled rubber, Vibram® Trail Ecostep outsoles feature tread patterns for wet surface traction and heavy-duty lugs for on- and off-road grip

    The shoe went right on, and there it stayed until what I needed to do was done. Support around the ankles was comfortable. The shoe was a little heavy, from that heaviness, though, came confidence when things were a little slippery. I have sweaty feet. So far, this hasn't made me want to rip them off my feet despite wearing them for extended periods of time. I like that Patagonia appears to want to help the environment in its manufacture of goods. Shoe's good looking. I'd add better shoe laces. I also wouldn't bring the leather down so far to the sole. I worry about mud. These suggestions are minor, though. I'd buy them again. (on my 4th pair of Patagonias) The shoe design is novel and appealing. ned[...]

      Comments about Patagonia Ranger Smith Waterproof Mid Boots - Men's:

      This shoe boot has the best grip ever. I was walking over exposed wet roots and had good grip. I wear these everyday to work and to walk the dogs afterward. I am probably going to buy another pair of these so when the first pair wears out, I'll have a nice new pair ready to go.
      The only part of this shoe that i have not liked is the label on the insole.

      Oh, and these are great in the mud too :-)
