Been wearing these pretty heavy for a couple of weeks. The color is a little on the green side but don’t let that freak you out… they look even better with wear, the Gortex actually works. You can take the little thing out from the bottom laces if you like.

Runs 1/2 size to small for both my pairs purchased

Ok, would have been 5 stars for fit, comfort and color, but both pairs of Men's and Women's Logger 917 w/ Gore Tex shoes I bought were a 1/2 size bigger. I usually wear a size 10(M), and she wears a 9.5(W), but 9.5(M) and 9.0(W) fit best. Ended up getting the right size, but not happy about paying return shipping ($40 for 2 pairs).

I don’t know why I

I don’t know why I was suspect of this lifestyle boot. I didn’t like the Kilties; the tall height. I’m a huge Danner fan and I’ve worn many other brands. But the minute I slipped them on and walked to Pike Place, I knew they were a Keeper. Great dual midsole, love the white sole and wonderful dependable vibram. I’m an avid leather conditioner and these Loggers feel worn in and do have the high top sneaker feel. I needed a causal GTX shoe, now it’s a boot. I love it. It’s now my “Go 2” daily shoe even in this summer. It’s breathable & lightweight! I did replace the OEM footbed with carbon Superfeet. It’s perfect now. Thanks 4 your impeccable craftsmanship, materials, GTX & sole!!

Really like these boots. They

Really like these boots. They look great and are really comfortable overall. I find the outer edges of the collar exert more pressure on my legs, which can get a little painful after a while. Not sure if that's the specific pair I got or the way I walk, but it's a minor annoyance. I typically wear size 11 and grabbed these in 11.5, unsure if that would work. They fit great—nice and secure. I think these are just a little longer in the toe, so some folks feel like they need to size down. Doesn't bother me. Black is nice. I'll probably grab a pair in another color for variety. Would be great if these were made in the US and could be resoled.

Monks robe

I have two pair of these. One for work and one for everyday. These boots are seriously the best work boots. They probably won’t hold up as long due to my rugged use at work but these boots are so comfortable. I could wear these boots all day long with no complaints and these are super stylish. I REALLY HOPE THEY MAKE THESE IN A CHARCOAL LIKE THE WOMENS. I bought my wife the women’s charcoal and she loves them. I liked them so much I almost bought women’s but unfortunately they didn’t make the size I would have needed. DANNER please make the men’s all charcoal! If you are considering this boot I wouldn’t think twice.

Great boots and look good

Great boots and look good but do wonder how long they will last. After break in, they are very comfortable with some noticible creasing in the toe box which was very surprising. Grip is good in dry weather but still found myself slipping on wet cobblestone in England last week. Overall OK but I might request a replacement because the creasing in the toe box is excessive.

These Danner Logger 917 boots are just great! Not only are they waterproof, but they provide support and comfort all day long. And they look so good I wear them for casual wear on weekends.

Super Comfortable, But Weak/Delicate Leather

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever had. As comfortable as good sneakers. However, the leather is just too soft and delicate for boots. I have worn them gently (mostly to/from an office) in good weather for one month, and the toes are scuffed and the leather on the heal of both boots is totally scuffed / gouged / worn off. I assume this from driving, with standard carpet floor mats. Basically, it seems like a one season boot. If the leather was tougher and more resilient, these would be five stars for sure. The leather is so weak, three stars seems generous.

I was surprised at how comfortable these boots are. After a week they feel pretty broken in and look great.
