Easy to prepare, plenty of food. But was extremely thick( think stick to the ribs) and a heavy meal, probably too heavy after miles of hiking in the heat. Not an unfortunate flavor, but the meat left an odd aftertaste. If you need a full belly to sleep, this is the meal for you!

I bought this a few weeks ago to try before I went out in the woods. It tasted pretty good so I got more for the trails. It's easy to cook out there, light weight, and gave me plenty of energy.

i love shepherds pie. i also love most dehydrated meals. i also am usually starving after a long day on the trail. but this was the first dehydrated meal that i found to taste awful, no matter how hungry i was. It just isnt good. it has a weird after taste as well. just not good. lots of other good options, but id skip this one.

Being a medical doctor resident on a 30 hour call shift, the dining room is not always open. Easy to use hot water for preparation. This is a good large meal for one. The taste is very good. Again, the con is the price.
