I love this bag - it's super cute and easy to use. Like the above review my Toto came without a rain-cover - even though the tag said it should have one - I called the company and they sent one right away. So cool! The magnetic closure on this bag is great too!!

A great bag for commuting and everyday use. Fits a 13 inch mac book in case along with a wind beaker, gloves and some emergency supplies (tube, tools, tire levers, all fit in inside zippered pouch). Unfortunately mine and 6 others the REI SF store had came with a rain cover despite the fact the tag says removal rain cover.

I use this pannier mostly for around-town riding and small errands, though I've also taken it to the beach. It's quick and easy to attach and remove from my luggage rack, it's comfortable to carry around (the attachment hooks don't jab you), and it looks more or less like an urban shoulder bag, not bike-geek paraphernalia. The magnetic closure is also nice, as it's easy to manage with full-finger gloves on.
The only downside is that the pannier does not attach as securely as the ones that have a bottom attachment point (an S hook or loop). When empty, mine once slid forward along my rack, catching my foot, and once, when it was stuffed full with a laptop and other heavy stuff, it fell off when I rode over a pothole. Both these problems are avoidable, I think, if you use the right size shims (it comes with shims of varying thicknesses for different racks) and make sure the hooks snap securely to the rack, but it probably isn't the best choice for very rough terrain or heavy loads.

Comments about Detours Toto Pannier - Single:
These bags go on my Specialized Globe for errands in the city. They're sold singly but I bought a pair. I don't own a car, so I use these a lot. They were the only bags in the store that don't catch my heel when I'm riding. They mount on two "C" hooks, with no lower attachment, but they attach securely. One bag is big enough to hold my MacBook Pro 15" while in it's protective bag. The magnetic closure at the top is a nice touch. When you're riding, the long handles just flop over. Shoulder straps are included for taking the bags into the store.
Good looking bags, bright colors, included rain covers are a bonus. Hint: if the bag doesn't mount as securely as you like, contact Detours for replacement hook spacers that fit your rack. The other bags I really liked were also made by Detours - these guys are making some innovative bags.
