Comments about The North Face Terra 60 Pack:
I'm somewhat in between a minimalist and comfort-driven hiker. I like my bottled water over purified stream water. I have 1 of the more feature-laden multi-tools. However, I usually don't pack rain gear, at most a fleece for changing temps, no air-cushioned anything, etc.
The pack is durable and stuffs easily but I wish it were a little easier to access the main compartment like on Kelty's larger packs. There is a pouch for a hydration pack but no holes for the tubes like you woudl find on the Kelty or Gregory packs.
I also miss the organizer pouch found on a lot of other packs for my flashlight, multi-tool, car keys, a pen, etc. There is a small zippered pouch in the hood for a few items - maybe your rain gear, car keys, flashlight and a few other small items.
The open trampoline bottom drives me nuts at times. Small items slip through the pack over the course of the day and end up in the very bottom of the pack in the sleeping bag area - as the trampoline-style seperator is not stiched but rather just tied with an elastic cord. A stitched option would have been prefereable or better still, a zippered divider (to give the wearerer the option) like I believe I saw on a Kelty pack.
I also miss the hip pockets found on packs by other manufacturers and the elastic on the side mesh pockets should have been designed with fasteners like TNF uses on the tiny Recon pack.
The pack is however comfortable to carry and easy to balance the load and the PE frame is removable so you can custom bend it or even remove it altogether for those dayhikes when you don't need it. The side pockets are a good size and a great place to keep snacks. Their deep design prevents stuff from falling out when you open them also.
All in all, a decent pack for the money. If you can afford to spend double, there are better packs out there. If your budget is a little tighter, this is a pack worth considering.

Comments about The North Face Terra 60 Pack:
I bought this pack off of REI Outlet for [$], and it was well worth it! I immediately took it on a four day hike in Arkansas loaded up with just over 35lbs. and it felt great. It was super comfortable and i loved how it was compatible with my hydration pouch. Also, the material stood up to the branches and thick vines no problem and without a scratch. I just kind of wish it was a 70L instead of 60.

Comments about The North Face Terra 60 Pack:
I recently purchased this pack for a trip up to Tahoe. It held more than enough for a 3 day trip and was very comfortable. The padding was great and the bag stayed put, it did not shift or sway at all. I don't know if I got lucky but my model of this pack does have a hole for your hydration tube. It is up near the back of the hood. The pack stuffed very well but a trip any longer may require more space. I pack light, very light, so I could probably go close to a week with this pack. Overall this bag is a winner in my book. If it is just weekend trips you love to tackle this bag is surely worth a look.

Comments about The North Face Terra 60 Pack:
We bought 2 of these packs, one for our 10 yr old boy & one for 13 yr old girl for a 4 day, 30 mi hike on Art Loeb in NC. We were so happy we bought these bags... mostly for comfort. We had ea kid loaded up with approx 22 lbs & they both said they were very comfortable the entire trip. Each carried sleeping bag very nicely and the weatherproofing was as good as North Face gear alway is. Plenty of straps for attaching aux gear & bottles and the adjustment straps work well for someone as short as 5'4".

Comments about The North Face Terra 60 Pack:
I originally bought this bag as an intermediate sized pack from my larger one to do smaller hikes, but then realized soon after that even this was too big, at least for the overnight hiking adventure. When I first started hiking, I was amazed at how it seemed to be suspended on my back and didn't really feel like dead wait, but rather floated on my shoulders. After about an hour of hiking I realized that carrying it was just the same as carrying my school pack and I could barely feel it. Amazing. It dried out quickly even in humid weather, and I was happy with how adjustable the straps were. My only complaint is that it isn't as narrow or compressible as I thought it would be. its a great price for a great pack.

Comments about The North Face Terra 60 Pack:
A few people have commented that their pack didn't have a hole for a hydration blatter hose... but maybe they arn't looking in the right place? My pack does indeed have a hole on the right side at the top. It isn't in the middle like most packs, so I would take another look.

Comments about The North Face Terra 60 Pack:
I am very glad I picked this pack, its extremely comfortable and holds a good amount. The best part is that it doesn't sway at all. Stays right in place. A hole for a hydration tube would be great as well as some hip belt pockets. Overall its an amazing pack for the price.

Comments about The North Face Terra 60 Pack:
After spending quite some time looking for the "perfect" backpack for our weekend adventures, my girlfriend and I both decided on The North Face Terra 60. It took us a little time to dial in our settings for the best comfort but after we found them this pack made our load feel like we were carrying nothing. It has lots of storage space to fit everything you'd need for a 3-7 day trip.
Overall this bag offers you many settings to tone in the perfect fit and once you find that filling it to max capacity will be no different than hiking with it empty.
A great buy for the money.
