Comments about Respiro Athletic Bike Saddle - Men's:
The stock seat on my stumpjumper was killing me after every ride even with wearing padded shorts. My friend recommend me these seats and I have not regretted getting them. Well worth the money.

I bought this to replace a seat that fell apart, when I put it on and sat down I felt comfortable and no longer felt any pain in my rear or my...
The little mesh bits allow some nice airflow through the seat down there to keep cool what needs cooling.
Service and delivery comments:
The bike technician handed me the seat and encouraged me to try replacing it on my own and in a matter of 20 sec i had the old one off and new one on. He was nice and supportive the whole way!

I thought it was a great seat. It just didn't last. I only had it for three months and have already thrown it away. Not sure what I am gonna try next. Probably not this one again.

Comments about Respiro Athletic Bike Saddle - Men's:
So far I have about 150 miles on this saddle and love it over the factory Scott saddle that came with my mountain bike. I had a lot numbness after about 30 minutes on my old saddle and so far I've had periods of over 5 hours on this saddle with no numbness at all.
I'm very happy with my purchase and just wish that if you spend over $600 on a bike that they could put a little more thought into the saddle.

Comments about Respiro Athletic Bike Saddle - Men's:
I'm 150 lbs, 5'6". I use this saddle to commute to work, about 9 miles one-way. I dont even need to use cycling shorts with it when I use it to work and I dont feel any pain or whatsoever. When I ride on the weekends, I wear cycling shorts just because we ride longer distance. I like how my seat bones sits perfectly on the gel. I dont feel any pressure anywhere.
The only thing I dont like is the weight! After removing few screws and the front vent, mine still weighs in at 396 grams!! I wish they can make this lighter at about 250 grams and I'll pay for it even if it is $150 worth!!
Great Product!!

I put this on my mountain bike after replacing the stock one and my behind really noticed a difference. not so much in the air flow but it is very comfortable. I just bought another one for my road bike and I will see how it works on there

The channel is wide -- wider than my sit bones. It was painful after only a couple of miles.

Comments about Respiro Athletic Bike Saddle - Men's:
I bought this saddle to replace a tri saddle that promisd to solve all saddle problems. This saddle isn't anything special. While it is more comfortable than the Profile tri-stryke saddle, it still lacks the comfort needed for longer rides. It is o.k. for short rides in town, but needs all around improvement in comfort. While I haven'tused padded shorts, I think they would provide the much needed extra support necessary for longer rides.
It is becoming my impression that comfortable saddles require a lot of money. I guess that is why the pros ride on Selle Italia or Fizik.

Comments about Respiro Athletic Bike Saddle - Men's:
This saddle is a big improvement over the saddle that came with my bike (Trek 7.3FX), but the middle grove isn't long enough to really prevent numbness in your crotch over long rides (40 miles+). The groove should continue all the way up through the front in order to really relieve all pressure in that area. I rode in the Reach the Beach ride yesterday (80 miles) and after about 40-50 miles I was wishing that groove was longer. I'm going to try the Serfas RX and hopefully that will work out better for me. But overall a very nice and comfortable saddle with only this one exception.

Comments about Respiro Athletic Bike Saddle - Men's:
I usually ride 25 kms or more each ride (up to 50 kms) and ride about 5 times per week. I have a 2010 model, Trek 4300 Disc and have been in agony due to the seat that comes with the bike off the shelf. Horrendously painful thing - what was Trek thinking by offering this??? Anyway, I decided to try this seat and over the last few rides, all is well, the boys are cool, however, not the cool air flow one would think, but then again, I live in Nicaragua with a very hot climate. Riding has become fun again. Around the 30 km mark though, the riding bones do get a wee bit numb, but no seat is perfect. This would be 30 kms on pavement but when doing offroad, one is out of the saddle often so it is not an issue.
Would recommend this seat without a problem.
