The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Keen Voyageur Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
These shoes have been great! I've worn them just about every day for the last three months here in the Middle East, where they see a lot of rough gravel, fine sand, and even some nicely-sized boulders. They hold up well overall, and the rubber at the front is a lifesaver for less graceful people like me. I can never feel the ground's heat, which is rare for shoes in this environment. The lace length isn't a problem for me, but I do have two issues. First, since I'm in 100-plus degree weather, my feet sweat quite a bit, and these shoes DO NOT ventilate well enough to keep my dogs from being a bit offensive. Second, all of the stitching on the upper part has begun to unravel! Bear in mind, this is DAILY use, and they have really taken a beating, but it was a small letdown. They've cost me about a dollar a day, and I've not had a single use-related issue with them.

I would highly recommend these shoes! I recently wore them on a 6 day backpacking trip through Yosemite National Park and only received two blisters that where pre-existing conditions. Other than that they are great!

The first time I wore these was on a 6-mile hike up to Bear Mountain in Boulder, CO. The terrain was steep and rocky. The Keens kept my grip very good on the slippery dry rock faces. The cushioning and traction also eliminated the feel of any rough or hard rock surfaces under my feet. Very attractive design and great for wide widths.

These are incredibly comfortable, and seem to be wearing well. The rubber toe is great for rougher terrain. Since they're non-marking, I can use them as colder weather boat shoes as well. I wish the laces were a little bit longer - I have high arches, and I have to pull the laces pretty tight to get even a single knot.

Comments about Keen Voyageur Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
When you go on a long distance hike, or any hike for that matter, you are going to need shoes that work well with you feet. My feet are rather flat which in turn makes them wide. The Keen foot bed is roomy and easily accommodates my large feet and those swelling from a long days trek.
I thru-hiked 2,400 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2009. I probably averaged 20 miles a day over 5 months. I went through 4 pairs of Keen Voyageurs while on trail. After 350 miles the original insole was paper thin so I replaced it with a Superfeet insole and went a whole bunch more miles. Keen Voyageurs are not waterproof which is essential for PCT hiking. You want light weight, quick drying shoes that wont trap debris in the waterproof webbing. Also, each time I would put on a new pair, I had no blisters or any other trouble breaking them in.
On 2 of the 4 pairs, the fabric inside the shoe behind the heal and around the ankle started to wear off. In one of the pairs this did cause some discomfort for my foot.
Overall, the Keen Voyageur is a great shoe and I continue to wear them to this day. They got me through the dust of the California desert, the snow of the Sierra, the volcanics of Oregon and the rocky wetness of Washington! Thank you Keen Voyageur!

Attractive shoe that would be perfect if the tongue was cushioned and the laces longer. I would see this as a significant problem for someone with high arches. I don't have high arches, but after a hike, the top of my foot hurts and there is barely enough lace to make a double knot.

Comments about Keen Voyageur Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
I bought these shoes on the positive recommendation of a friend. I would definitely buy them again as they are super comfortable for long days on your feet, whether it be light hiking or at a job that requires standing/walking/being active for hours. I wear them to the dog park and around town, and have even worn them mountain biking before I got my clipless pedals and they worked wonderfully. I would NOT wear these to do heavy duty hiking or backpacking because there is almost no ankle support, so I prefer higher cut hiking boots for that. These shoes are much too clunky/heavy for serious running.
The color (grey on grey) is only OK. I wish I had purchased the grey with purple that my friend has, but they are very hard to find online.
The shoes have held up pretty well since I got them about 1 year ago, but I only wear them a few times per week and they are already starting to look "worn." Overall, a comfy shoe, looks great initially, until they start to wear.
Most people seem to think these shoes run small, but I had to go down a half size. I am almost always a solid women's 8 but I had to buy a 7.5 as my feet were swimming in the 8s. I have a fairly wide foot with a medium-high arch. I recommend going to the store and trying a pair on, as I was very surprised I had to get a smaller size- this is almost never the case!

I took these shoes to Spain for the Camino de Santiago hike. I went approximately 18-24 miles per day with a 30 lb. pack. From day one these shoes gave me blisters. By the end I had more than 12 blisters between my two feet and was in a lot of pain. I'd worn them for weeks before, they were great walking around town, for a job where I'm on my feet all day, but were terrible for the purpose I bought them. Would probably be good for short hikes without a pack. They are light, not too hot and have a great sole.

I purchased these shoes about a year ago. They have been GREAT! I hike 5 mornings a week on a very rugged trail up a mountain. I live in the desert where the trail is rugged loose rocks. I've never had a better shoe. Unlike some of the other reviews, mine has held up tremendously. There is absolutely no wear, no loose stiching. The toe guard is wonderful. Plus, this is the first shoe that has not pinched my toes. I love the wide toe base.

I needed a comfortable shoe to hike in, the 100+ degree, Australian Outback. These shoes proved to be the best all around shoes for this.I climbed rocks and hiked on rocky dirt trails. I did used my own orthotic so had good support, the toe bed was nice and roomy, there was no break-in period and no blisters for the 15 days of heavy use.The laces were plenty long and the shoe held up well.
They also looked good with jeans for walking around Sydney and kept my feet very comfortable which is usually hard to do. I did go up 1/2 size.
