Comments about Keen Voyageur Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
These shoes have been great! I've worn them just about every day for the last three months here in the Middle East, where they see a lot of rough gravel, fine sand, and even some nicely-sized boulders. They hold up well overall, and the rubber at the front is a lifesaver for less graceful people like me. I can never feel the ground's heat, which is rare for shoes in this environment. The lace length isn't a problem for me, but I do have two issues. First, since I'm in 100-plus degree weather, my feet sweat quite a bit, and these shoes DO NOT ventilate well enough to keep my dogs from being a bit offensive. Second, all of the stitching on the upper part has begun to unravel! Bear in mind, this is DAILY use, and they have really taken a beating, but it was a small letdown. They've cost me about a dollar a day, and I've not had a single use-related issue with them.

Comments about Keen Voyageur Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
The first time I wore these was on a 6-mile hike up to Bear Mountain in Boulder, CO. The terrain was steep and rocky. The Keens kept my grip very good on the slippery dry rock faces. The cushioning and traction also eliminated the feel of any rough or hard rock surfaces under my feet. Very attractive design and great for wide widths.

I would highly recommend these shoes! I recently wore them on a 6 day backpacking trip through Yosemite National Park and only received two blisters that where pre-existing conditions. Other than that they are great!

Comments about Keen Voyageur Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
These are incredibly comfortable, and seem to be wearing well. The rubber toe is great for rougher terrain. Since they're non-marking, I can use them as colder weather boat shoes as well. I wish the laces were a little bit longer - I have high arches, and I have to pull the laces pretty tight to get even a single knot.

Attractive shoe that would be perfect if the tongue was cushioned and the laces longer. I would see this as a significant problem for someone with high arches. I don't have high arches, but after a hike, the top of my foot hurts and there is barely enough lace to make a double knot.

I took these shoes to Spain for the Camino de Santiago hike. I went approximately 18-24 miles per day with a 30 lb. pack. From day one these shoes gave me blisters. By the end I had more than 12 blisters between my two feet and was in a lot of pain. I'd worn them for weeks before, they were great walking around town, for a job where I'm on my feet all day, but were terrible for the purpose I bought them. Would probably be good for short hikes without a pack. They are light, not too hot and have a great sole.

Comments about Keen Voyageur Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
I purchased these shoes about a year ago. They have been GREAT! I hike 5 mornings a week on a very rugged trail up a mountain. I live in the desert where the trail is rugged loose rocks. I've never had a better shoe. Unlike some of the other reviews, mine has held up tremendously. There is absolutely no wear, no loose stiching. The toe guard is wonderful. Plus, this is the first shoe that has not pinched my toes. I love the wide toe base.

I hike 2-3 times a week and love how comfortable these boots are, but they are literally falling apart after only 2 months. I would get another pair but everyone I know who has these boots is experiencing the same poor quality construction. I expected better from Keen.

Comments about Keen Voyageur Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
I used these 4-5 days a week and they lasted 6 months and I considered taking them back almost every day. I love Keens but these are terrible. These are extremely slippery in the rain or snow and the laces come untied constantly. The padding was comfortable for the first month or two but wore out within a few months. These shoes are also very heavy and clunky.

Comments about Keen Voyageur Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
Although many friends begged me to not wear new shoes to hike Half Dome, I chose to wear my new Voyageurs because my running shoes just did not appear to have enough traction for my comfort level. My feet were the happiest- no blisters, no pain, and no falls! Great traction! Without these shoes, I may have turned around early on in the hike, but these took me comfortably for 18 miles. A very good rocky terrain hiking shoe.
