Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:
Living in Atlanta, GA it never gets too cold... so the Marmot Leadville Jacket has been great for chilly spring mornings and breezy, stormy weather. It’s not quite as heavy as the Northface Apex jacket I was also considering and seems to breath a great deal better than most of the softshells I tried - which is great for me since I work up a sweat hiking or riding my bike while wearing this coat. I do throw on a fleece vest underneath if it gets too cold and I will layer a Goretex shell over top if the weather goes too cold or wet. At [$] the price is a bit high, but you can rest assured you’re getting one kick-butt, technical piece of gear for that dough. And this piece is such a mainstay, you’ll likely be wearing it more than your other jackets. Construction is solid. Interior is soft and exterior is durable and sheds water very well. And I just had to get the orange one...

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:
I'm a tall and skinny guy, 6' 2.5" and 165 lbs., and it seems nearly impossible to find jackets that are long enough and not too baggy. After months of searching I found this one at the local REI and lo and behold the sleeves are longer than average and the chest is not gigantic (size large), but I can still fit a sweatshirt under it without it becoming too tight. The price is a little steep, but it is well worth it to someone my size (not to mention the [$] off coupon from a local event).

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:
It was initially hard to pull the trigger for the price, but I caught it on sale. Now that I have it, I have no regrets. It is not super warm, but it is prefect on cool days walking, hiking or riding the bike. I can't believe how comfortable this is, and my wife says it looks great. It's a perfect spring/fall temperature jacket.

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:
I purchased this jacket to have something small and lightweight that I can put on over my clothes when I use my motorcycle, and I can take with me for hiking.
The jacket is truly windproof - even at 70mph on the bike!
It will fit well athletic people; I like that it doesn't have the "big belly shape".
It is well designed and manufactured, thoughts given to details and it performs well above my expectations.

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:
I've been using this jacket for over a year now, and I am very pleased with it. While wearing it, I climbed 14ers, scrambled rocky routes and fell on a dirt road with my motorcycle, yet there is not much sign of wear on my jacket.
It is much lighter and allows me to move much more freely than other softshells.
I'm unable to edit my previous review where I incorrectly marked the jacket to be waterproof. It is somewhat water resistant only. Look for an M1 softshell if you need a more water resistant jacket from Marmot.

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:
This jacket is top notch! Here in New England, I hike in it with just a baselayer and a dry wick t-shirt under it. Sometimes I find myself on the trail unzipping it because I find it to be too warm while hiking...This is all while hiking in November/December too.
The fit is great with it being slender and not bulky. I have full range of motion without it pulling or being unconfortable. I like that it doesn't have too many pockets: 2 side pockets for your hands, one inside for other items (It has a little headphone hole for your Ipod too).
The fabric is soft yet very durable and easily cleaned. The lining in it is comfortable and extends to the collar portion (no uncomfortable fabric on your skin).
I use this jacket everyday from wearing it on the trail to wearing it when I go out. Stylish, durable, comfortable and it performs well. If you have the opportunity pick one up, don't hesitate!

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:
This is such a wonderful jacket, and i highly recomend it. After reading the other reviews, I have a few comments and opinions i'd like to add:First, I got the green, and in my opinion it is quite a pleasant green. It is very stylish, and have had many compliments in the short time that i've owned it.Second, ALL fabrics with DWRs require some maintanance to remain water resistant. The person who complained about being soaked simply needs to replenish the DWR and figure out the appropriate washing technique. I am using Penguin Sport Wash, which is supposed to help replenish DWRs and maintain tech fabrics, but I may have to use a spray-on DWR once or twice a year for tune-ups. Also, [...]said that a quick run on "warm" in the dryer helps replenish the fanciness of the Gore Windstopper (he said you could also use a hair dryer).Third, someone said that they are tall and skinny and it fits them well. I am also tall and skinny, and although it fits me well, I wish that it was a little more fitted. I bought the jacket because of the ones that I thought were attractive, this one fit the best, but not quite as I originally wanted. The looseness, however, makes it great for layering. I can fit a nice knit wool sweater underneath without feeling restricted.Lastly, and these are my own comments, the jacket is not heavily insulated. It is light enough to keep with me all the time, which is really nice, but on really cold nights, i need a light hoody or the afore mentioned sweater underneath. Between a light base-layer for insulation and the jacket's windproofness, this keeps me super super super warm. The wind blocking is great because I ride my bike everyday and keeps the wind off at 20mph. The only issue i have is that I wish it had a hood, which is why it gets 4 out of 5. It would make a great rain jacket, if it only had a hood.

this jacket is good as almost all Marmot's . we ordered cedar colour and it turns out to be screeming green when the order arrived. In my case (international order) returns are not so easy. but overall its a good purchase

i live in cozy kaysville utah. i find myself in the mountains at least once a week in crazy constantly changing unpredictable utah weather!!! this thing has been perfect for day hikes, and backpacking! lightweight and breatheable! i can put it on or shed it without any worries about pack size or weight really...wish it had a pocket on the outside though, thats a bit of a bummer! but other than that it's perfect!! and i highly recommend it...

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:
Nice jacket for layering or all by itself. I have worn it with a t-shirt underneath in 40 degrees with 15 mph winds and I stayed comfortable when moving. It also worked well layered under my rain jacket for extra protection.
