I've ridden only about 100 miles on this, but I love it because it is so comfortable. My previous saddle, which I reviewed here, was a Terry Butterfly Ti. Since then I had to get new frame and decided to get a new saddle as well. The Selle beats the Terry hands down on comfort. My longest ride on it has been about 50 miles and no discomfort whatsoever. I can't speak to its durability since I've had it only about a week.

Very nice saddle! I was getting sore with my previous saddle (a WTB Rocket V) no matter how good my riding shorts were.

The Lady Gel Flow is so much more comfortable. The center cutout helps prevent irritation, and the seat is wide enough for my sit bones.

Everyone is a little different though, and you won't know if the saddle is right for you until you try it out on a real ride.

I was a loyal Terry saddle user until I read the previous review. I tried the Selle Italia Gel and love it. Now I have a new favorite. I use it for long distance riding and on my indoor trainer. The Terry saddle wasn't as comfortable on the indoor trainer.

I took a chance after reading the great reviews, and am very glad I did! Narrowed it down to this one and the She Speed WTB, and literally sat on both of them on the floor of REI. This one seemed a bit softer, so I went with it as a beginner mtn. biker that gets thrown around a lot on the rocky lower trails in UT. Very, very happy. It was comfortable from day one, and has only gotten better. A bit wider than the average road saddle, I believe, which helps with the big bumps! The stock saddle on my new bike was a WTB rocket V, and I couldn't even ride two miles on the paved trails with my kids without being sore the next day. Also, don't let the gel concern you....it is nothing like the gel cruiser seats that feel like memory foam! Still very firm, nothing mushy about it.

Just tried out this seat at REI today, along with several other high-end saddles (the Terry Butterfly Tri gel, the Fizik Vitesse gel, etc.), and by far the Selle Italia was the most comfortable. I highly recommend trying out saddles in the store, as it was surprising how different the feel and fit of each was, even when visually they did not appear that different. No opinion yet on how it wears over time or on a long ride.

I've been riding the Selle Italia gel flow saddle for three years and more than 20,000 miles, and I'm getting a new one because it's finally giving up the ghost. I love riding on this saddle - it's the most comfortable one I've found and I can sit on it all day long.

Unfortunately, a combination of too much time left out in the rain and wear and tear has caused the leather to start ripping away, exposing the foam padding and making the ride less comfortable, so it's time for a new one.

Before this saddle, I rode the Terry Butterfly and it just never worked for me. Saddles are really individual, so it's worthwhile to test them out on a few long rides before you commit to one, but this has been a fantastic saddle for me as a long distance all day rider.

I ride my bike at least 10 miles a day, but usually a lot more than that. I have had this saddle for about a year now--received it as a gift for Christmas 2010. I replaced the stock saddle on my 2010 Masi Partenza, which was literally a pain in the but/ Since then, not only has my bum been quite comfortable throughout my daily commutes and rides, but I even completed a 100mi tour on this thing and felt fine.
