The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Glowspek Premier Flashing LED Safety Pedals:
It gets three stars for the 6 months these pedals served me well. My daily commute is about 10 miles long, some of that is uphill. These pedals are definitely not up for this kind of abuse. I got a lot of complements from fellow cyclists. They said I was highly visible. After 6 months the left pedal refused to turn and I replaced them with my old metal ones. Only then I realized how much resistance these Glowspek's produced.

Comments about Glowspek Premier Flashing LED Safety Pedals:
If you buy these, I recommend you open them and lubricate the bearings right away.
I posted a good review about these pedals earlier. Unfortunately, the bearings and races lasted only five months. One pedal locked up, the other got crunchy. The helpful bike mechanic at my local REI was intrigued, took one pedal apart, and opined that it was never lubed at the factory.
It's too bad, because these are extremely conspicuous from front and rear.

The LEDs on one pedal have conked out after just a dozen rides. I want my money back! :-o

Comments about Glowspek Premier Flashing LED Safety Pedals:
I use these commuting and randonneuring.
Their conspicuity is excellent. Their unique up-and-down blinking is very attention-getting, both day and night, and you don't need to worry about batteries.
They won't last forever, but my previous set (different branding, but very similar appearance) lasted more than two years. I just finished my second 200Km ride on this new set yesterday. I expect a great service life from these.
Highly recommended for riders who like stand-on pedals.
Service and delivery comments:
As always, the REI ship-to-store service was fast, flawless, and free.

Comments about Glowspek Premier Flashing LED Safety Pedals:
I dislike clip pedals, and purchased these for improved visibility while commuting. They are a bit heavy, but I thought the added lighting was worth it. The biggest problem is that they quit working after barely a month of use. Not worth it.

Comments about Glowspek Premier Flashing LED Safety Pedals:
I put these on my commuter bike just for that extra safety and visibility at night. The lights work fine as long as you are pedaling and are very visible from all sides. However, the plastic is not very sturdy and mine failed after a few months of casual commute riding by the spindle piercing through the plastic pedal housing. A better product (more $$$) is the Pedalite from the UK: more sturdy and stays lit even when not pedaling with no batteries.

I used these for a week commuting on my "Urban" converted Trek MTB. They are too small and they one quit working. These will not stand up to the demands of commuting. They feel flimsy as well when you stand up on them, I'm 170 pounds. I returned them. Neat concept but not durable at all!

Bought for my wife for her commute. Super fun at night! Great to be visible, and I don't have to turn it off, it has no batteries. Had to buy myself a pair too.

I installed them and noticed the left pedal turned rough and had a lot of play in it. I do not believe the bearings will last. I returned the pedal.
