Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 5 Gallon:
I use it for high altitude backpacking. There is nothing like a warm shower even with minimal gear. The biggest problem with this is its efficiency. I use it for two people and really it would do well for four! It still doesn't warm the outside air, so showers are quick. For packing, the tube is so hard to pack and it takes up too much room in the pack. It is hard to fill, but then again, the bag doubles as a fire water reservoir and fire ring extinguisher.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 5 Gallon:
I used this product while out on a 3 week camping and mountain biking adventure through Colorado and Utah. I set up camp, filled the shower, hung it and went for a ride. By the time I returned, the water was warm and refreshing. It worked great for rinsing dishes and to quickly wash your face in the morning. This has to be one best camping accessory's that I have purchased in awhile.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 5 Gallon:
This is the first time I've used a solar shower and my expectations were low. After wrestling with the most effective way to fill the solar shower (that's really the most awkward part of using it), I concluded that I should fill another container and pour H2O into the shower rather than trying to fill the shower directly in the lake. I left the shower on warm rocks in the sun for a couple of hours and tried it out. It worked great! The shower had enough "pressure" to wash/rinse my long, thick hair and there was plenty of H2O left for a couple of additional showers.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 5 Gallon:
I guess I wasn't thinking how much 5 gallons is, or weighs. For car camping, which is what I'll be using it for, it works fine...though a little awkward to set up. It might be too big to take backbacking...
It is nice to take a nice rinse at the end of the day.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 5 Gallon:
This is cheap, glued together made in [...]--we never got to use it--the bag leaked around the shower head and would not hold water. Now I have to send it back--would NOT recommend--pay your money and take your chances!

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 5 Gallon:
I love solar showers when camping in our van. Combined with a portable shower enclosure, I can have easy, free showers, and I find the dirt ground to be much cleaner than the floors in campground shower stalls!
I bought two of these and filled them for my latest adventure. Partway there my wife noticed a trail of water leading from the back of the campervan to the front - the shower bag had burst and emptied about a gallon of water over my mattress, soaking it and my wooden cabinets. I'd used this shower bag on one prior trip, about 6 showers total.
There was no obvious reason for the breakage: the bag was carefully placed on a seat cushion with nothing touching it. It leaked around the area where the hose exits the bag. It wasn't a slow leak, either - a real gusher.
For the few times that I did use the shower, I found that the on/off mechanism was very hard to use with soapy hands. You need to push and pull the nozzle to turn the water off and on.
My second bag hasn't leaked yet, but I did notice a rip in the bag where the handle attaches. Luckily this is outside of the water area. I'll be returning both and looking for a better brand.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 5 Gallon:
We filled ours at the last water available for several days and continued driving to a remote trail head. During the drive, the easily actuated head valve came open and flooded our gear in the back of the vehicle. We closed it and did our trip. Driving out to a staging camp, where we intended to use it, it did it again. I don't recommend traveling with this thing full without a clamp on the hose (which you'll have to obtain separately). It is difficult to dry out after a trip, and will grow all kinds of stuff if put away wet and stuck together. I drilled holes in a piece of PVC pipe and stuck it in the neck and down to the bottom past the baffle for ventilation (the baffle severely hampers the ability to dry). Then, the head got broken and Seattle Sports won't sell parts for it. That doesn't seem very "eco-friendly". I really want this to work, and it's a good idea, but it has been a pain at almost every turn. I'd recommend it only to the stinkiest of friends, and watch it like a hawk for any signs of malfunction.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 5 Gallon:
I bought this one and previous solar showers for use during the summer at home and turn off my water heater for 6 months to conserve propane. It works great and hasn't broken or leaked. For this use you have to hang it high on a hook in the shower ceiling. The 2.5 gallon would be better since it is shorter and lighter. I have to use a rachet pulley to raise it and then lift it the last inches to the hook.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 5 Gallon:
Looked like it should do the job when car camping. I brought it home after purchasing, filled it with water and laid it out on my patio table. In 3 hrs the water was definetly warm enough for a shower but the attachment point (threaded fitting) where the shower line attaches to the water bag leaks. No matter how many times I tried to adjust the fitting it appears its just a cheap plastic threaded fitting. A leaking water bag of any kind is a problem no one wants. Avoid this product, there are better ones available if you are willing to search around. It's going back tomorrow. One of the few products I've ever purchased at REI that has failed me.
