Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 4 Gallon:

On camping trips, my wife and I have been warm showering with this type of bag for years and have been very happy with the results.

I wouldn't condemn it merely because of the hose length. This can be easily remedied with minimal ingenuity: shorten the hose or coil it.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 4 Gallon:

Bought this to replace our old school solar shower that our Lab puppy chewed up for our windsurf trips.
Best thing is the PVC free material; our old shower still had a noxious odor, even after seven years of use and multiple cleaning attempts with various odor eliminating products! This one has NO ODOR (follow directions and use a baking powder rinse before use).
The only things we changed are:
The hose was way too long, so we simply shortened it to work with our camping set-up, and put a tight zip-tie around the hose to keep the spray nozzle from pulling out.
It is also very economical and since there was only a $2.00 difference between the 2 and 4 gallon models and all we do is "car camping", the 4 gallon model was the easy way to go!
If the puppy gets ahold of this one, we'd buy another since we're so pleased!

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 4 Gallon:

After using this camping, there is one serious flaw with this product. The hose is way too long and therefore is almost on the ground.

I am 6 feet tall and I hung this on the tallest tree branch I could reach. The hose still hung down to about a half foot off the ground. As a result, I had to crouch down on the ground in order to be underneath the nozzle. Not a good design.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 4 Gallon:

First, this shower can not be filled by holding it underwater; the bag collapses from the water pressure and no water enters the bag. The bag opening must be held up and water must be poured into the bag from above. This is all the more annoying when trying to fill the bag from a canoe in the middle of a lake.

Second, my bag leaked. Not much, but it leaked.

Third, once the bag is hung up, the water nozzle must be opened before soap is used. The nozzle design and tightness made it impossible for me to change water flow once I had soaped my hands. Nozzle design is very poor.

Fourth and final shortcoming; as the water level approaches about one gallon, the bag no longer has enough weight in it to prevent it from being blown around by a slight wind. The flat bag acts like a sail.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 4 Gallon:

We needed a shower during a home renovation and decided to try this one. The handle on the 5-gallon pulled through the plastic on the first use. Thinking that this was too much weight we tried the 4-gallon version, only partially filled it, and it broke at the same place after three days of use. It heats up just fine in the New Mexico sunshine but cannot hold the water. If you have one, don't fill it. [...] With a better handle, these would be great!

I bought this for use on my sailboat to replace my old sunshower. The overall quality was very poor. The shower hose popped out of its fitting at the bottom of the bag. When I pulled a rope through the handle hole, it tore. The nozzle was hard to open, especially with soapy hands. The water flow was a trickle so even though the bag was large, it did not produce a strong enough flow to rinse well. The hard plastic parts felt cheap and were not resilient. After my first one week trip with this thing, I returned it and got my money back.

Comments about Seattle Sports Camp Shower - 4 Gallon:

I had great plans for this item during a week-long canoe trip. I kept it in the canoe on the front seat daily while fishing or sight-seeing. Or I'd set it on shore in a spot I knew would be sunny all day. I expected a nice warm shower after it being in the sun all afternoon.

I don't believe the temp ever got over 80 degrees. I'd blame it on 75 degree days and a bit of wind, but pavement certainly gets hot on such days. It was certainly in the sun all day. I think it would warm in the desert...but who wants a hot shower in the desert?

All was not lost though as it doubled as weight in the front of the canoe since I was going solo and needed weight in front for stability. It also was used as a hand-wash station and dromedary bag. I'd pump water out with a filtration system into bottles in-camp.

If you give this a shot, try throwing a rock-attached rope over a tree limb and pulling it up. Using it on a branch high enough to still reach resulted in poor water pressure.

I imagine if you were careful you could add hot water and not wreck it to get that hot shower.
