Insect killer and repellent for your clothing is effective against ticks, chiggers, mites and mosquitoes for up to six weeks.

Nonaerosol pump bottle contains 12 ounces of repellent, or enough to coat two full outfits; a full outfit consists of shirt, trousers and socks

I bought this before visiting a friend in Ghana. I coated all my clothes before the visit, and used Deet on unprotected skin. She got eaten alive, I only had a few bites. She got Malaria. I did not. I wouldn't use this for every day bugs because of the chemicals, but it was certainly better than Malaria.

Permethrins are safer than DEET. Read the EPA and NIH datasheets. With this product the contact with your skin is even less than DEET. DEET must be applied to the skin to be effective. The permethrins are applied to your clothes and stay there. It really does work for 3-6 weeks. Although I do feel sorry for the insects that are killed by the permethrin, I would prefer not to be a host to tick-borne Lyme disease.

I usually get eaten alive by mosquitos even with 100% deet. Treated my clothing, used 100% deet on exposed skin and dramatically reduced my bites. I did not like the application procedure and it's toxicity. Also, you can only treat about 1-2 sets of clothing completely. Overall, I would recommend this product.

I recently went on a 44miles/5days backpack trip in the Glacier Peak Wilderness of Washington, notorious for swarms of biting flies (pretty much 24x7) and thick cloulds of mosquitos at certain times of the day.

Before leaving I treated my Sahara pants and a Sahara shirt with this product, and purchased a pre-treated head net.

This stuff works like a champ, unbelievable!

While others ended up donning their goretex or thick insulation even during the heat of the day, and would STILL be bitten where ever there was exposed skin or cloth thin enough to allow biting...

I'd put on that outfit and - bammo! No more bugs, no more bites, no more discomfort, nothing.

Well worth the money in my estimation. I took 100% DEET AND Ultrathon, and never cracked either bottle. When you're moving of course the bugs can't get you in their sights, and then when one stops they just zip on the legs (of the pants), slip on the Sahara shirt, and put on their broad-brimmed sun hat and head net and, done! No bugs!!

I don't know what more I can say... It's a product that does exactly what it's advertised to do, and does it VERY well!
