Tomandfamily is correct that these sandals will not stay tight on your feet; however, I have three pairs because I found a way to make them tight. You have to change out the laces to what Keen calls "bungee laces", i.e., elastic laces. That changes these sandals from useless to awesome. You can get the new laces for free on Keen's website at [@]There is a "click here" button under the replacement laces. Fill out the form and in about 10 days you'll have your new laces. Then with the help of a small screwdriver to pry off the end piece and some needlenose pliers to reattach it, you'll soon have sandals that stay snug all the time!! Enjoy! Once fixed these give my feet incredible support and comfort. Yes, they do get a bit sweaty and stinky, but buy the Tectron deoderizer from REI to keep the smell under control. And use talcum powder (baby powder)on the insoles, also.

Brand new but what a dissapointment compared to the H20 which lasted forever. One weeked into a caving and rafting trip, it delaminated while in the limestone caves of Malaysia. The sole was ripped by the end of the trip. Bad design, too bad i am too far away for [...]warranty it for me. Sigh.

Comments about Keen Arroyo Sandals - Men's:
I have narrow flat feet and have never found a pair of sandals that fit and gave good enough arch support. I purchased these Keen Arroyos about a month ago, they come with a insole that gave more arch support than any other sandal or water shoe I've tried. I also prefer the lacing system instead of sandal straps, I can tighten or loosen different areas of the shoe to get a good solid shoe like feel which is great when hiking.
I just got back from an 8 day trip to the Carribbean, were I really put these things through their paces, (no pun intended). I wore these practically every day. I hiked, kayaked and made multiple trips to different beaches. I think I am most impressed by the traction I was getting from them. We visited "The Baths" on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. This is a beach with a tunnel that winds through giant rocks to another beach and cove. We had to pass through water, sand and up and over smooth, slick wet rocks. In places, there were ropes to help people through. The guides were suggesting to people to take off their sandals, and go barefoot otherwise they would slip. They were right, people wearing Tevas and other sandals were sliding and some had to crawl over these rocks even with the assistance of a rope. I did not slip once in these Keens nor did I have to use the ropes, It was Awesome.
I have only had these about a month and I haven't seen any sign of wear yet, so I am hoping they will hold up for awhile. But so far, with the fit and performance, I think I would definitely buy these again. I even bought some for my kids after we got back from our trip.

I wear these scandals everyday, by far the best pair I own, seeing that I have 6 pairs(teva, keen combine)I have not had any problems with these and I blow through scandals / shoes with in 4 months, they are perfect for working outdoors, going for easy day hikes, a plus in the water. I will buy another pair

I wear these around the house, on the trail, kayaking, and anywhere I go. They just feel good all the time, even after wearing them all day long. I don't want to take them off at night. I don't think I'm going to buy another brand ever again.

Comments about Keen Arroyo Sandals - Men's:
I normally wear a size 10.5 or 11 shoe...after trying a few different sizes, I had to go with 9.5's so they seem quite big for the size. Keen is definitely not consistent when it comes to sizes, that's for sure (I've tried other Keen styles and their sizes are all over the place!)
These are really cool-looking shoes, and very comfy! They seem to take a good beating, but I've noticed that some of the threads start to "frey" so I just use my lighter to burn off the freys but this isn't a big deal.
Right away, I noticed that when I wear them without socks my feet are sweaty all day long. I think it might be because of the neoprene used, but not sure. After a few hours, the bottom of my toes will start to get tender from being "wet" (from sweat) all the time and rubbing against the bottom. I've never had a sweaty-feet problem before, mind you. Even when the weather is only mildly warm, my feet sweat with these and by the time I'm home from work I have to take them off and wash my feet so they don't smell!! Once the shoes are washed the smell goes away but it only takes a day of wearing them for it to come back. With socks, however, they are great...but I don't find that to be very "stylish". I've had them for about 2 weeks now and the laces on the right shoe keep loosening up almost instantly every time I tighten them. I don't find it to be quite as annoying as the sweat but it bugs me nevertheless.
All in all, a nice looking and comfy shoe...if it weren't for the sweaty feet they cause, I'd give them a much higher rating.

Comments about Keen Arroyo Sandals - Men's:
I bought these when they were still called "Taos", and was regretting the purchase almost immediately. The lace tightener didn't hold on one of the shoes, and was always loose and needing to be pulled tight.
Otherwise, though, they were comfortable and easy to wear and I just got used to one loose shoe.
Unfortunately, after a couple months, the real problem I have with there shoes became apparent; the soles of the shoes wore out. After 6 months of pretty much everyday use the heels were worn completely off both shoes, at least an inch down, through the rubber sole and the underlying material.
Service and delivery comments:
Customer service at my local REI store was very helpful and refunded my money completely. Thank you REI.

Comments about Keen Arroyo Sandals - Men's:
I bought these primarily for a trip to Hawaii. I was doing some hiking through forests, to waterfalls and pools, along narrow rocky trails, scrambling over large rocks and walking on sandy beaches. The traction was good, they were fairly comfortable, although I got a blister from the rear strap. Unfortunately this was an example of a great idea and poor quality. After the second or third day hike and less than two weeks old, I noticed the soles were falling apart and the stitches were pulling out. Keens are comfortable but have questionable quality and durability.

Comments about Keen Arroyo Sandals - Men's:
I bought these for canyon backpacking trips in Fall07. I replaced the insoles with GoodFeet, hoping to get more arch support, given I was backpacking.
I wore neoprene socks with the sandles because of the cool weather and constant wet feet. In general the sandles performed well on both wet and dry surfaces.
My personal problem is the need for more arch support. I had some pain in my feet while backpacking. So my recommendation is that if you don't have the need for great arch support these sandals work great as a wet backpacking trips. I am not sure if I will use them again on a backpacking trip unless I can find an insole that gives me the necessary support.
