    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought these sandals for a two week river trip down the Grand Canyon. By day 5 they were starting to fall apart. You can imagine my disappointment especially when I had 9 more days on the river. The seams by the ankles were coming undone. Fortunately, one of the guides had something I could sew the sandals back together with. I sent an email to Keen and never heard anything back. Fortunately I was able to return them at REI.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality not what used to be I have a pair of Keen Sandles I bought almost 8 years ago and they are in better shape than the ones I bought last year. I thought that I might off just purchased a bad pair, however I had also bought a pair for my retired father and his were in the same shape. Since then I've noticed that the glue holding the layers of the sole are sepparate. Go to a used gear sale and you will see plenty with this problem. It really is to bad this was a good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product improvement I've had previous versions of these Keen sandals and liked the fit but found them heavy. These are much lighter and have better shock absorption in the sole. Sole is stiff enough for walking on uneven ground, has good adhesion when wet. Recommended.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Excellent concept, poorly constructed I purchased my first pair of Newport H2O's in May and used them for saltwater flats fishing, the stiching failed on the heel strap area after just a couple of trips. I had a Boundary Waters canoe trip planned for August and exchanged the damaged pair for a new set at the Minneapolis REI, the sales rep informed me this is a common problem and returns occur frequently. I took my second set of H2O's on my trip, and the stiching in the same heel area failed within the first 2 days. I plan to return them and will look for another water sandal. I have the leather Keen sandal and it has held up well, it is just slow to dry, heavier and is not the ideal water shoe.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from short life I really like these sandals when I first purchased them. Unfortunately, they suffer from the same issue my other three pairs of Keens suffers from. The outer sole starts to peel away from the body within a few months. Just not worth the price. I purchased all my Keens within the last 15 months and they all started to fall apart after 3 - 6 months of light use. Junk!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very happy with sandals I live in Tucson where it gets very hot in the summer. These are my go to footwear. The bottom of my foot does get sweaty, but here it is expected. They are very comfortable. I took them to Hawaii for vacation and walked on the beach and in the ocean with no problem. Gave them a good fresh water rinse and they are good as new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite pair of shoes! Alright so first off I will say that when I was trying these on I couldn't quite decide between a men's 10.0 or a 10.5. For my running shoes, I wear a 10.5 in Nike if that is any indication. I ended up going with the 10.5s and they fit perfectly. I would say that these have become my favorite pair of shoes. They are awesome for walking in creeks, kayaking, hiking, anything where your feet could be exposed to water. You will get some gravel and rocks in them from time to time, but it is much easier for me to get it out of the Keens than a pair of Chacos. They don't "stick" to slippery surfaces, but they do provide better traction than most shoes. THE COVERED TOE BOX IS AMAZING. I don't know how many times this has saved my toes from a rock or stick. Lots of people say that these shoes will smell terribly after a while. I do notice a slight smell if I have not taken them off in a while and my feet have been exposed to water/sweat. But just let them dry and they will smell like new (I just sniffed mine and they smell just like they did when they came out of the box). I have worn mine pretty extensively for 4 months and they have held up well. The only thing that I have noticed was that some of the stitching on the outside had come undone. I don't know if this was my doing or a quality issue...but it's nothing that a little super glue couldn't fix. Bottom line, these shoes are awesome and you should own a pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels like they were made for my feet. I'm picky about my hiking clothes, so I spent more than an hour trying on various brands and models. The H2s run just a bit large, so you may have to buy a half size smaller. I wear a size 10 shoe, and the 9.5 H2s fit me best. The 10s rubbed on my heels. The 9.5s fit as if I grew them onto my feet! That said, it takes an extra second or two to get them on. But it's well worth it, as the fit is so great. I am comfortable running, walking, hiking trails, and inching down steep terrain. These are sturdy. Rugged on the outside, but soft inside the straps. Time will tell if they last long. But for now, I could not be more happy with these sandals.
