I have an older Trek trailbanger that I use for riding around town when I don't feel like driving, exercising the dog, and light mountain biking.

My old bike seat was as old as the bike and hard as rock and left you, for lack of a better word, sore.

This seat makes a huge difference in my comfort level. Not only is the gel soft and cushy, but it's a wider seat and much more supportive. I've had it for a couple of months now and have ridden quite a few times in heavy mist/rain (typical springtime in Oregon!) and it always drys out without any indication of anything smelling or going wrong. I can go on long rides (1+ hours in downtown Portland) and don't have any ill effects!

I've used this saddle on only a few rides, but one ride was long enough for me to know I'd like to keep the saddle.

It fits me well and is comfortable. I rated it four stars because I don't have enough information to rate its durability.

My favorite saddle is a Selle Royale women's saddle, but I could not find it for sale any more.
