Comments about Century Matchless Two-Burner Stove:
I purchased the Century stove to replace a Coleman stove that had been damaged during a camping trip. I was suprised to see that this stove was comparable in performance to many of the high end stoves but much more affordable. After just a few uses I was very dissapointed with this stove and quickly realized why it was priced so low. Although more powerful than my previous Coleman stove, this stove had a poor design with the temperature controls and was very difficult to get to a simmer. The stove has a tendency to shut off at lower levels of heat as it struggles to maintain a consistant flame. The other problem I had with this stove is that the ignitor must be pushed several times in order to light the burners. Sometimes getting both burners on at once was very time consuming, prompting me to grab a lighter. This item does however seem to be built fairly well and is priced much lower than other models with comparable features. Also, included with this stove is a carrying case and a rubber propane hose that makes placement of the stove much easier. In comparison, my coleman stove had no case ([$]extra) and came with solid propane tubing. My favorite feature of this stove was that it could handle heavy winds without collapsing easy as its design keeps it very sturdy. In the end I decided to return this stove and replace it with a Coleman with comparable features.

Comments about Century Matchless Two-Burner Stove:
Be sure to have matches and/or a lighter handy for this "matchless" stove. Ever tried rubbing two sticks together to start a fire? The piezo ignition system worked twice during a two week trip. Generally unreliable.

Comments about Century Matchless Two-Burner Stove:
I bought this to replace an old Coleman. I wanted to get a push-button lighting stove and REI doesn't carry the one from Coleman (PerfectFlow InstaStart 2-Burner Stove) so I bought this one. I'm very disappointed in the performance. It was very hard to light with the push button and the temperature control was non-existent. It was either full blast or it would go out. Save your money and buy a Coleman.

Comments about Century Matchless Two-Burner Stove:
The only problem I had with this stove is that the 3rd time I used it, the hose developed a leak... nothing that a little duct tape wouldn't handle until I was able to get back [...]. Of course, with their amazing service, I walked out with a new hose! I like the stove a lot. The quick ignition makes it pretty sweet!

Comments about Century Matchless Two-Burner Stove:
Its base is very stable, routinely heating a large pot of water and skillet at the same time. It's pretty easy to clean.
Starting is persnickety. Sometimes it'll work on the first click, sometimes not, taking out the short hairs on my fingers when it finally does (unless I pull out a match). The latch broke after the first couple of uses, but we just rubber-banded the case shut when storing it.
The biggest disadvantage is the lack of heat control. The burners just cannot do a simmer without risking petering out.
After three seasons of family, my stove's reached the end of its lifetime. I'm going to look at other brands and models.

Comments about Century Matchless Two-Burner Stove:
I have used the Century Matchless Two-Burner Stove for three years now and could not be any more satisfied! This stove has proven completely reliable and functions perfectly, whether powerful rapid heating or minimal simmering is required.
The ease of cleanup with this is almost surreal. It has a sturdy composition and folds down into a very low-profile with a built-in handle that is exceptionally easy to carry and store. The Century Matchless Two-Burner Stove is wide enough that it can easily accommodate large cookware side-by-side. (My personal sized ceramic grill even works well with this stove.)

I used this stove on 2 week long trips this summer. It worked very well. It does just what it's designed to do and does it well. I wish Century made a small portable gas grill.

Comments about Century Matchless Two-Burner Stove:
This is a great stove. All the parts are well-made. It's easy to set-up, light, use, clean-up, and pack-up. I wish it could do very low heat a little better. I like that Century isn't a mass-merchant behemoth like Coleman.

Comments about Century Matchless Two-Burner Stove:
A year ago I was going to buy a Coleman stove and saw this at REI. It has worked great. I really don't understand the other reviewers, but maybe there is a lemon or two out there. I would recommed this stove, though.
