I am a regular commuter, I ride a cyclocross on mostly paved trails, occassional dirt. I ride several days a week, for about 2 hours a day. I bought this seat to replace my stock San Marco which has about 14,000 miles on it.
After mounting this seat and riding, it became immediately apparent I needed to adjust the height, angle or forward/back. I experienced pain in the back of my legs just below my butt. I could also not keep on the thick part of the seat, my butt kept sliding towards the valley of the seat, which added pressure to the VasDef. I tried multiple adjustments (height, angle and forward/back) but nothing worked. I stopped by REI on my ride home and explained my pain, the bike tech took one look at the seat, asked how much I ride and immediately said that seat is too wide and is the cause of all the problems. I will be returning this seat as it definitely does not work for me.

My current gel seat was made by Velo, which gets pretty mediocre reviews these days, but its still more comfortable (i.e. softer) than this seat. And its lasted for 10 years with pretty conistent year round use. After a spin around the neighborhood, I remounted the old seat and this one will be going back.

First thing first, THIS SEAT IS AN ESSENTIAL upgrade for any rider. I wish I had this when I first started to bike. I would get so sore/hurt with the factory seat of my KHS Alite 150. I thought bike-shorts would help, but it only delayed the soreness/numbness/pain for 20-30mins.
I bought this seat solely on the reviews and ratings from all of the other customers, and every review has been dead on!
This seat makes riding enjoyable, comfortable, painless, and prolongs your ride! This has been the best $ I've spent for biking and wish I had this from day #1. I've done 3 consecutive days of riding this past weekend (all rides over 30kms) and I'm stll ok / up to do some more. No more pain, no more numbness, and no more soreness!
It's a little wider and heavier than most stock/factory seats, but it's WELL WORTH it! Besides, it's only a few grams more than other seats so I wouldn't even have known the difference.
Would definitely recommend this seat to ANYBODY/EVERYBODY -- and you can't go wrong for the price.

The saddle that came with my bike was really hard, and w/o a butt really uncomfortable. I wanted something that would compensate for the lack of hindquarters and this saddle pulls it off well. I was concerned about getting one of those gel covers for the original saddle, fearing that it would slide around and be a bit awkward. Grab this saddle! It's worth the money.

I got this seat based on the reviews I read here. I've never been a real cyclist, but got the urge to do a century ride and was told by a friend that I would definitely need some chamois cream.
Haven't done the century yet, but since I got the seat I've rode about 200 miles and haven't felt any worse for wear. This is a really comfortable seat. I just did a 60 mile ride, mostly in the rain, and didn't haven any trouble with slipping or anything.

Only defect is the silk screen on front of saddle rubs off on the first long ride. It is a very comfortable seat, much better than the gel bd seat that came on my Specialized Tri-Cross bike. I did 150 miles in 2 days with this seat, where previously I used to hate to be in the saddle more than 30 miles.

This is the best saddle I've ever had on any bike. I bought this last year to replace the saddle on my Specialized 29er mountain bike. What a world of difference. Sure, it's heavier than other seats. But you will not notice. I am a lot less fatigued with this seat. I also bought one for my Novara Big Buzz commuter bike. It's a great bike but the seat was killing me. Not any more. This seat is great for any bike. I'm probably going to put one on my road racing bike too. The weight penalty for adding this to your bike is more than made up for with less fatigue and more comfort.
