This dual-access, long-haul pack for women nicely balances comfort, features and value.

  • Combination top-loading and front panel ''port-hole'' loading for complete access to contents of pack
  • Bottom sleeping-pad straps and a zipper-accessed sleeping bag compartment with an internal zip-out divider
  • Angled and designed to fit a woman's shape, 2-layer padded shoulder straps adjust vertically for a custom fit
  • Contoured, 3-layer ISO waistbelt's foam padding evens out pressure against hips and angles to fit a woman's hipbone shape
  • Sternum strap, load-lifter straps and belt stabilizers help balance the load; pulley-like Scherer Cinch™ doubles hipbelt tightening force
  • Removable, floating top pocket converts to a waistpack for forays away from base camp
  • Two zippered side pockets, 2 mesh water bottle pockets and a large front pocket with organizer keep essentials handy
  • Zippered stash pocket, security pocket and a fleece-lined optics pocket provide storage for valuables
  • Daisy chain, ice-axe loop and lash tabs let you strap on extras to the outside of the pack
  • Spindrift collar cinches down over the main compartment to seal out rain or snow
  • Main compartment holds a hydration reservoir and features tube ports on lid (reservoir sold separately)
  • High-density polyurethane (HDPE) framesheet and twin aluminum stays provide load support and prevent bulky items from poking into your back
  • Side and vertical compression straps secure and stabilize the load
  • Lumbar pad and breathable back panel increase your carrying comfort

    I really love this pack! Once you get the hang of the adjustments (suspension & torso fit) and packing it so it's balanced, it's a great fit, especially for a woman's body.
    The pack that I previously used was a Men's pack. It just never fit quite right. With the Kelty Red Cloud, the suspension and torso adjustment puts the weight right where it needs to be on your body.
    The only cons I have is that the pack could be a little lighter and accessing clothing at the bottom of the pack is a little tricky, even though it has the zipper down the front.
    The pockets are well placed for easy access and organization. Also the sleeping bag compartment is brilliant and perfectly placed at the bottom.
    If you're a woman, and want a comfortable long-haul pack that won't rub you the wrong way, for a great price, this is the pack for you.

      I love this pack! I've owned mine for almost three years and have used it every year, almost every weekend from late May to late September. It's been great regardless of whether we were just hiking 5 miles or 20. I've never felt sore or had any rubbing. I have never felt that I needed to constantly adjust it. It's fairly easy to wash and even though I've really gotten it dirty, a little soap and water and it still looks new. I used this pack on a two week long Europe trip last year and it again was an awesome choice. Everything I needed for the trip fit in the bag perfectly and made getting around so much easier. Love it and would recommend it to anyone.

      This pack is my 3rd pack, what one pack has the other does not. The most I've carried in this particalar pack was 40 lbs and it was with ease. Only thing is I found that once adjusted for heavy or even light wieght loads, it starts to slip. You have to adjust it constantly. Also, I think the shoulder straps may be a little wide, I'm 5'11 with a large frame and the straps rubbed a bit but once broke in it didn't bother me as much. Out of the 3 packs I own this is the one I always grab. I like the xtra loading compartments and the detachable fanny pack for day hikes.

      this is my second backpack and I love it; it's got nice large capacity for week-to-month long trips and you can literally live out of it. it's a bit heavy on its own but is incredibly sturdy and can hold anything. it's comfy because it's super adjustable everywhere. love all the pockets.

I really love all the pockets to stash stuff, and the several options for opening the main compartment to easily get at my gear. Not a fan of the new color it's offered in, but I love mine!         I loved this backpack. I went backpacking in France for weeks and had to carry around all my clothes and water bottle and essentials and my back never got sore. I lent it out to my friend as well for the next summer and she loved it!

        I really like this pack. It has more than enough room to carry all my gear for longer trips. I don't like how it takes a lot of adjustment to get it just right. I had to keep adjusting mine so it would fit more comfortably. Overall, I really like this pack. There is lots of ways to adjust it to get it just right. And the top comes off to make a fanny pack.
