Comments about CamelBak FlashFlo Hydration Waistpack:
This is my pack of choice for short walks or hikes (up to 2 hours or 8 miles) that are long enough to merit carrying a snack, minimal first-aid, and other "just in case" gear.
I can't use it for anything faster than a brisk walk - the pack bounces around if I get above about 5 mph.
I go through a good volume of water, so I find the 45 ounce hydration capacity limits the usefulness of this pack for me to 2 hours maximum, unless I have opportunities to refill my water along the way. It's a bit cumbersome to refill - I find I need to take the bladder out of the pack completely - so it's not convenient to refill on the go.
If you're looking for a waistpack hydration system that's just right for a 2 hour hike, I'd recommend this. If you're looking for something for running or for longer times out, or just a general hydration pack, I would not recommend this pack.

Comments about CamelBak FlashFlo Hydration Waistpack:
This hydration pack works just great for short trips hiking and cycling. It's a lot more comfortable, both weight-wise and temperature-wise, than a full pack if you're not going to be out there a long time. It's got room for my cell, wallet, maps, pen light, iPod, and snacks. I've even crammed a small digital camera in there at the expense of a protein bar. I did buy a clip for the hose and that solved all the problems I had with fighting with it. Hint for the ladies - don't clip it to your shirt, clip it to your bra strap so it doesn't deform the fabric. I do have trouble getting the pack stable for running (I get a whole lot of bounce no matter what I do to adjust it), but I suspect that's me being clueless since so many runners love it. I'm going to take it in next time I visit REI in person and get one of the gear guys to show me how to do it right.[...]

Comments about CamelBak FlashFlo Hydration Waistpack:
I only thing I really like about this product is it has lots of room for phone, keys, etc. My big problem with it is that no matter what I do to adjust it while running, it still jiggles & bounces unless I have no water left in the bladder. As a result, my back is really scraped up & raw. I had read the previous reviews & thought this would be good for running for my half marathon, but it is NOT! Might be ok for hiking or walking but again, way too much jiggle for running.

Comments about CamelBak FlashFlo Hydration Waistpack:
The 45 ounce capacity is perfect for most runs. When adjusted properly it won't bounce and lose position on your hips. I just wish you didn't have to pull out the reservois to fill it.

Comments about CamelBak FlashFlo Hydration Waistpack:
I really like the storage and comfort. Can be adjusted almost every way possible. Even full of water and a few items in the storage pockets...lots of those...I never really knew I had it on. I am a hydration freak, so it doesn't hold enough water for me. It's probably okay for a "normal" person on hikes. I LOVE camelbak products and as usual, this is a high quality item.

Comments about CamelBak FlashFlo Hydration Waistpack:
I bought this size camelback specifically for going out on day hikes and for mountain biking. I get too hot with a pack on my back. It has been perfect for those applications. It has some extra space in the pack for a few personal items... cell phone, id's, keys. I like it!

Comments about CamelBak FlashFlo Hydration Waistpack:
I am a small women and needed a small snug hydration and pack for Mt hiking. It didn't work. It is way too small, I ran out of water on a 7 mile climb and didn't have enough room for food. The mouth piece won't work for cycling either

Comments about CamelBak FlashFlo Hydration Waistpack:
the flashflo is a nice little hyrdation waistpack. for short hikes, i prefer this pack over a full-size backpack hydration system, especially on hot california days. it's easy to fill and the tube is manageable. if camelbak had made the storage pocket just a little bigger, it would be 5 stars perfect.

Comments about CamelBak FlashFlo Hydration Waistpack:
I am a fairly new runner and in the last 6 months have slowly increased the distance I run. I needed some type of water source for my runs over 5-6 miles. I went to the REI store and looked around, came home and read reviews and took my chances with the Flashflo. I am sooooo not dissapointed. It sits well on my natural waist. The actual tube from the water bladder attaches/snaps into the front belt and is easily accessible without having to stop and fuss with it. I truly couldn't be happier. The volume the bladder carries is perfect for my 10 mile runs and this includes me rinsing and spitting. The color I chose was also helpful for safety/visibility. The front pockets are perfect for a cell phone and some tissue and maybe a small power bar... I highly recommend this product.

The high water carrying capacity for those long runs, room for gels or snacks, cell phone and keys makes this a good product for runners.
