        Comments about Profile Aqua Rack:

I purchased this bottle mount to use specifically at the Dirty Kanza 200. I didn't want to carry a camelback, yet wanted an option for carrying additional water, if needed. This mount fit the bill and performed perfectly over the course of a day that featured 200+ miles of rugged Kansas gravel roads. Based on some of the reviews here, and the advice of others, I was expecting to lose a few bottles. I was pleasantly surprised to finish the day without any issues.

        Comments about Profile Aqua Rack:

This was a great product that I used in the heat of Texas. If it's long flat rides you'll never feel like it's there. After moving to Colorado I had to stop using it because of the higher balance point. It really sucks when your climbing out of the saddle and even a slight swing of the bike makes it off center. But I still use it on longer rides because I never worry about drinking too much water too early in the ride... I'll almost always have enough water.

Botton line... you need more than two water bottles to stay hydrated and this is a much better than sticking them in your jersey.

I was excited to have this put on my road bike. Unfortunately, every water bottle (to include different sized ones) would fall off if I went over a larger size bump. Pot holes and cracks in the road should not cause this to happen. I now find myself constantly checking to see if the water bottle is still there. Stick with the standard cage that mounts on the frame!

              Comments about Profile Aqua Rack:

For the most part, this rack is great. It holds the bottles securely, and it's pretty light. A few minor downsides:

              1. It's a little annoying to install because you have to remove the entire seatpost. However, assuming you only have to do this once, this shouldn't be an ongoing issue.

              2. As the first reviewer said, there is the potential it can hit the back of your thighs. My thighs lightly bump the cages, but not enough to annoy me. It all depends on the geometry of your bike, how high/low on the seatpost you put these cages, how far forward/back your saddle is, etc. It's pretty much idiot proof to install, so unlike the other reviewers who thought the first reviewer messed up the installation, I can see how it can bump up against your thighs.

              Overall, great rack.

Not sure why the other guy is having fit issues. I'm 6'5 and have no problems with mine. Very easy to reach without stopping my pedal stroke. Much easier than reaching for the frame mounted cages. Reach is very instinctive once you get used to them and just as easy to return the bottle after drinking.

                  Comments about Profile Aqua Rack:

Yes, I installed it correctly, it was just too close to the seatpost to clear my pedal stroke. This could be a sizing issue; for a shorter rider on a smaller frame, maybe it wouldn't. I don't consider myself gargantuan (6'2"), but I am on the taller end of bike sizing.

That said, I took the cages off of it and use them on my MTB frame. They're really fantastic cages; they hold the water bottle more securely than anything I've ever found yet allow you to get the bottle in and out easily. I wish more places carried just the cages.

Product does exactly what its designed to do. I think other reviewer must have it mounted backward as I cannot think how they would hit their thighs. FYI - The cage should extend out over rear wheel.

                    Comments about Profile Aqua Rack:

I put this on my road bike. It stays put and is durable enough, but unfortunately Profile didn't make the mount extend far enough away from the seatpost because I hit the cages with the back of my thighs on every pedal stroke. If you want one of these, get one that mounts to your saddle rails and avoid this one.
