Greatest Cages

I wasn't sure what cages I wanted on my Cross Check until I had a conversation with a gentleman who told me about the cages. He told me that they were only available in black which I found kind of hard to believe. REI had them I'm black and silver(Whoop Whoop!). They are very sturdy and do a great job of keeping my bottles in place, whether it be a Hydroflask or a Camelbak or even a can of diet coke.

Great or very acceptable - depends on your needs

This could be an absolutely amazing water bottle bracket. If you want a bracket that will NEVER let go of your bottle when you hit a bump, then this is definitely what you have been looking for. There is a very positive grip on both plastic and metal bottles. It is an excellent choice for a mountain bike or even a gravel bike (I'm using it for the latter). However, it provides a bit too tight a grip on the water bottle if you have a road bike (especially for those who might choose to do road races). The finish is very nice and it fits well on my bike using the existing braze-ons (holes in the bike frame).

Stronger

I've had trouble with "standard design" aluminum cages; they don't hold up well when you use them vertically behind the saddle (as on a tri bike) on rough roads. I ride crumbly country roads and gravel often, and with full bottles they deform sideways or outward, dropping bottles. Uncool. Because the Lezyne cages loop back onto themselves, they are not prone to that problem. Given that they are still a reasonable weight, and hold my bottles snugly, i'm very happy with them. I am even using one on my training bike to hold a bottle full of ball bearings (about 7lbs) on the downtube, and it is dead solid! The last cage i used that way cracked a weld, even with the bottle strapped to the frame.

Sturdy

Very Sturdy, Superior Design I returned two REI Cages that the weld had broken on and applied the purchase price to two Lezyne's. Rather than waiting for my other two holders to break I am buying and installing two more. I ride a recumbent bike and the holders are mounted on the back of the reclined seat which apply's more stress to the cage (it has to support the weight of the bottle). The Lezyne is a superior design.

A Better Mousetrap

Awesome cages. They are both light and burly, and will fit taller, straight-walled bottles (like my hydro flask) that don't have that "bike bottle lip". This prevents bottles (especially metal ones) from constantly rattling, and you don't have to keep rebending a weaker and weaker piece of metal back into place to get it to hold anything. I am honestly baffled that every bottle cage isn't made like this. Only down side is that it didn't come with any mounting bolts, but those are easy enough to find.

Worth the Xtra $ or 2

One can never have enough water when on a ride - especially here in the desert. Had previous positive experience with a Lezyne product (mini tire pump) so when I needed to replace an aging water bottle cage (not Lezyne) it was a no-brainer. No need to spend $$$ on a carbon fiber cage when you can have this lightweight extremely secure cage at an attractive price.

Small Adjustments needed but Perfect

Bought for use with the Camelback Podium BigChill 24 oz bottle. No sharp edges and clean design attracted me to it. Fit is secure but a little too restrictive for bottle retrieval during the ride. I ended up widening the tracks so it’s easier to pull the bottle mid-ride, now it’s perfect.

Solid construction

Like other Lezyne products, this is solidly constructed. I have no fear of losing another water bottle.

Not for quick access, but for keeping the bottle

Bought two of these for my Gravel/Touring/Adventure/Bikepacking Niner RLT 9. They aren't the lightest, but plenty light. They aren't blingy. They aren't carbon. They will hold your bottle like they are an FDIC insured savings bank though. Rough terrain, potholes, you name it, the bottle goes in and stays in. Great quality, and will last forever.
