Comments about Gaiam Balance Ball Chair:
A comfortable chair good for those who sit a lot, nice to switch to sometimes, keeps you in a good position. However the plastic wheels have plastic locks on them that lock easily and accidentally. when this happens and you try to roll they'll break, especially if there's a ridge on the floor or if you're on carpet. They are special wheels so you can't just grab some new casters at the hardware store, you have to order them. Gaiam does carry them at [$]. The ball is smaller than regular excercise balls, so unless you're very short it won't double as a good excercise ball for you. Good for the spine though, nice for seated stretching. I would recommend this to a friend with a smooth floor who did a lot of sitting at a desk and had back or hip pain because of it, or didn't want to get back or hip pain.

Comments about Gaiam Balance Ball Chair:
This chair is a great way to tone your core muscles while just typing away at work. However, if you have long legs you will tend to blow the ball up more which becomes butt-numbing after awhile. It's difficult to get right so I alternate with my static work chair. It helps my lower back problems by encouraging proper sitting posture. Definitely better than a regular chair. Except the caster locks lock up all the time so you can't roll around without reaching down and unlocking them.
