      I do not know why these are marketed as a camera battery because they last way longer than normal batteries in almost anything I use them in. I am a music nut and have to have my tunes when out in the wild. I am also a gram counter when packing my gear and these things are as light as a feather compared to normal AA's. They last 60 hours of play time in my portable speaker which is more than enough for a whole trip. Stoked on these things, and they worth the extra cash!

            These last even more that 8 times normal batteries. I used them in my Steripen and it lasted for over 3 months, with everyday use in India. Once I ran out, I had to resort to regular energizer batteries and was shocked that they only lasted for purifying 10 liters, basically max 4-5 days. Made me realize just HOW good Lithium batteries are.

              First of all, these batteries will last *much* longer than any other alkaline, NiMH, or NiCd battery out there. I've used them in my Canon Speedlite 550 flash for two years now only replaced them once. That thing is a battery killer so it makes it worth the price alone.

              Secondly, I use the AAA batteries in my headlamp when hiking and snowshoeing in the winter. Alkaline batteries suffer from severe performance degradation in the cold, but lithium batteries do not. I also use them in my hiking GPS device not only because of the cold, but for peace of mind that they'll last (always carry a spare set though.)

              Thirdly, on a minor note, you'll notice they're lighter in weight than other batteries. Not a big deal for most people probably, but my camera-bracket-flash assembly is nearly 8lbs. A few ounces shaved is welcomed!

              Overall, these batteries simply outperform (in endurance and cold weather performance) every other battery I've tried to make it well worth the price you pay.

              I use these in my battery-operated devices exclusively when mountianeering or backcountry skiing. The cold-weather performance of Lithium batteries far-outweigh the higher cost as compared to alkaline batteries.
