Comments about Bibler Eldorado Tent - Standard:
The Eldo is a larger, but truly a more reasonable version of the I-Tent. I have used this tent extensively in NH and Colorado winters with temps down to -30 and sustained winds in excess of 60 mph. It is like sleeping in a vault. Once zipped up (and even vented) there is not a more secure feeling tent, especially when compared to a double wall. The tent is relatively easy to setup and super light. I have found that there is some condensation build up inside after a long night. However, once firing up the hanging stove the condensation is pushed out and the tent is completely dry.
In all, I have owned this tent for 8 years now, and have used it quite a bit with little wear actually shown. Without question I would buy it again if I needed another two person set up.
Don't hesitate to purchase this one. You will be satisfied.

Comments about Bibler Eldorado Tent - Standard:
This tent is extremely difficult to set up the first two or three times you use it, but once you get the hang of putting the poles in place, it's no worse than most other tents.
It is really a one-season tent, for cold and wet weather. Otherwise, it's not very flexible for venting and moving air.
However, now that I have gotten out my gripes-- I have to say-- it is an extremely well-built and cozy tent. I used it in cold, cold, negative temps, and it was really useful. On our last trip, my campmates complained about not being able to sleep so well, because the wind was coming into their "4-season" tents, but I was warm and sheltered, and the snow stayed off of and out of the tent.
Practice setting it up before you go out, because you don't want to be struggling to set up your tent when it's unreasonably cold. Once you're set up, enjoy the view.

Comments about Bibler Eldorado Tent - Standard:
This tent is the one you wanna ride the storm out in. The Eldo will take the wind, rain, and dumping snow. It fits 6' + climbers with ease, and is tall enough to be comfortable while sitting upright. Set up is tricky the first time as the poles are internal, but ad to the structural integrity of the tent. Buy the optional vestibule and gear loft for added gear storage. The yellow makes for a cheery interior when pinned down by storms.
