Comments about Mountain House Spaghetti with Meat Sauce:

The first time I used this product I was amazed by the flavor. It was almost as good as a home cooked meal! After that first use, it is my most common bought meal for, well, just about everything. It's the best for a backpacking trip, but i have used it for extended day hikes (longer than 13 hours), weekend trips, and even around home snacks. My only con is that if you add the "correct" amount of water, it's a little soupy. I just add a little less than needed and it's fabulous! Totally worth every penny!

Comments about Mountain House Spaghetti with Meat Sauce:

I use an insulated bag I got at the dollar store over the food pouch that keeps the water hot while cooking, it is also water proof if it is raining. The meals taste great, and are just right for two of us. After cooking,we put the food into the pot we heated the hot water in,on a propane one burner stove, and eat it with two spoons. It all fits easily into my trailer I use on my mountain bike.

This is pretty good. One of the members on our trip hiked in his own spag./with sauce, and this was much lighter and as good or better.

Comments about Mountain House Spaghetti with Meat Sauce:

Very good meal, better tomato flavor and more meat than canned. Use 12 ounces of water; with a pint it will be soupy. Only down side is high sodium - very salty, but flavorful and easy to make. Stir well, because the stuff sticks in the corners of the bag and may not absorb unless you stir after 2 or three minutes to move the noodles around.

Comments about Mountain House Spaghetti with Meat Sauce:

I think this is the best freeze dried meal out there! you can add more water to make it soupy or dont add much water, and let the steam cook the noodles after u zip it close. It says for two but i usually kill it alone. Don't forget to stir and enjoy!!!! :D

I first tried this freeze dried stuff when I went on a 6-7 mile backpacking trip. It was light to carry, but there was enough food to fill me up.
As for taste, I think the pasta could have been a little better, but it tasted pretty satisfactory.I would definitely get this again, and the best part is that it is a nice hot meal, which is good after you've been hiking for a while.
