Comments about Open Country Nonstick Griddle:
I purchased this griddle for campfire cooking on a fishing retreat. It was great For the trip, VERY easy to clean Teflon coating, very light, and cooked evenly. I use the griddle at least twice a week at home, on the stove or right on top of the grill and it still looks and cleans up like new!

Comments about Open Country Nonstick Griddle:
I've used this griddle multiple times with my Coleman 2-burner stove and it works great. I have not had any of the problems people previously mentioned. The only thing I wish was that the lip was a little higher so food didn't come off so easily when you were trying to use a spatula. Other than that, I think this product is great for the price.

Comments about Open Country Nonstick Griddle:
I liked the idea behind the griddle; light weight and small height profile. Unfortunately after the first use under low to medium heat, it warped so bad that it became a hazard. I tried cooking bacon during the second meal, but the grease rolled down to one corner and spilled out next to the flame.
If you are purchasing a griddle for camping, then you are obviously car camping and weight is not an issue. Pay a little more and get the cast iron griddle. It is considerably heavier, but it highly unlikely to warp unless you hit it with cold water right after cooking.

Comments about Open Country Nonstick Griddle:
We bought this griddle for canoe trip pancakes. It worked well enough over a wood fire but when the next day was wet and we pulled out the gas stoves the non-stick surface came away on the pancakes. Nasty. Will invest in quality next time.

Comments about Open Country Nonstick Griddle:
If you really need a griddle at less than $25 this is an OK choice. A better choice would be to change your budget or change your menu.
If you need a light weight griddle pay the extra money and get one that is anodized and non-stick. If you don't care about weight nothing comes close to cast iron.

Comments about Open Country Nonstick Griddle:
I used this for bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes for a backpacking group, cooking over an even bed of coals. The thing warped and cooked unevenly, which seems to result from its aluminum composition. So I'll try titanium or stainless steel next, despite the added weight.

Comments about Open Country Nonstick Griddle:
I used this griddle several times with both my VW camper and my Coleman Fold 'n' Go two-burner stoves. The griddle didn't heat all that evenly, easily burning some of food and it warped quite quickly. From now on it's anodized products for me.
