Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
I've used this silk liner for the last three years on all my backpacking trips.
It's soft, yes, adds some insulation, yes, but the best thing about it is that it keeps my bag clean. When I backpack, I am not the cleanest after a couple days. The sweat and grime transfers to the liner, not the bag when I sleep.
After the first year, I dyed it brown so it wouldn't look so dirty in the field.
It's easily hand washable, and it drys quickly.

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
So far I've used the liner backpacking in Patagonia for about 17 nights in the back country. It has held up well so far- no signs of wear. I have a 20F down sleeping bag and brought the liner with me in case it was really cold, and to keep my sleeping bag clean. It wasn't that cold (probably a minimum of 28F on our trip) so I was never cold, but it seemed like the liner was increasing my sleeping bag warmth

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
Used on multi-day bike trips. I'm 6'1" and it fits me fine. It added some warmth (~5 deg F as advertised) to my bag during some 30 degree nights.
