    • Regular down takes on water and is very difficult to dry; DriDown proprietary process treats each individual down plume with a hydrophobic finish
    • With the duck down now resistant to water, the insulation maintains its loft and stays dry 7 times longer than untreated down
    • It also performs better in high humidity than regular down, and in case it accidentally gets wet, it will dry out faster, too
    • Lightweight yet durable 30-denier micro-ripstop polyester shell and comfortable, moisture-wicking polyester lining warms up fast
    • Baffle construction keeps down from migrating, eliminating cold spots
    • Full-length 2-way, double sliding zipper allows easy venting; locking slider is backed by wide, antisnag binding tape
    • Snag-free zipper tracks prevent the dreaded stuck zipper by creating a barrier between the lining and the zipper track
    • Fully insulated draft tube backing the zipper keeps body heat in and cold air out
    • Ergonomic, nonrestrictive hood cradles your head in warmth; hood features differentiated drawcords that make fit adjustments easy, even in the dark
    • Roomy, ergonomically shaped footbox enhances comfort and warmth of feet
    • Sierra Designs Zissou 12°F duck down sleeping bag comes with stuff sack and storage bag
    • European Norm (EN) is an independent third-party temperature rating, allowing accurate comparisons across brands with other EN-rated bags

by fromZissou 12 This is a super warm bag. Totally comfortable below freezing, 8000, 10000, 12000ft, no problem. Have not gotten it wet enough to test the drydown. Perfect for backbacking. Nice and light and packs small. A bit narrower throughout than I would like, but that is the trade off for the light wieght.

by fromFreaking Warm Did some research and ended up liking anything dri-down. Went to REI, they didn't have the Kelty dri-down bag I wanted in stock, so I went with the more expensive Sierra Designs bag. The bag is worth it, I'm very happy with it. I finally slept in it a few nights ago in Tahoe, yes during the Rim Fire, it was very smoky. The bag was actually too warm for the +40 degree nights. I had to sleep with it mostly open. The zipper never caught, and my feet never got cold.

by fromAs good as everyone says it is I don't have much to add to the other reviews except to say this bag is better than I expected. I'm not sure I will go back to synthetic! I used this in the Wind Rivers and in southern Utah this summer - fantastic in both situations. I ended up sleeping on my Exped UL7 mat with this sleeping bag unzipped on top of me and it was plenty warm like that - even on a couple of chilly nights (not really cold) in Wyoming. I can't wait to use it on a freezing night! One of my favorite purchases in the last 3 years.

by fromWOW! Love this sleeping bag. I wanted a light weight bag to keep me warm. This was a great choice. I went on a 11 day backpacking trip in New Mexico and appreciated this bag's light weight. It also kept me toasty at night in rainy weather at 9,000+ ft. In addition, it rained one night, all night. I was pleased to see in the morning that the bag was dry. The bag is roomy and comfortable for me- I'm a female, 5'5". I've never had a down bag before so I'm super pleased with my purchase.

by fromGreat bag I do a lot of backpacking in the spring, summer, fall, and even winter in the Pacific NW. I needed a replacement for my previous down bag that had served me well for 6 or 7 years. I was intrigued by the Dri Down technology because it would provide more loft for a longer period of time then non-treated down. I particularly wanted a bag that was true to its temperature rating, particularly since I'm a cold sleeper. I have not been disappointed with this bag. Last night the temperatures dropped down to 23 degrees, and I was comfortably warm in my bag. This bag is a winner in my book.

by fromLightweight and warm Purchased 2 of these sleeping bags for my sons for Scouts and they have been excellent. Very lightweight for packing/carrying, as well as durable. Have experienced some rather cold nights and these bags hold in the heat extremely well.

by fromGreat sleeping bag for you and your partner! I highly recommend this bag for many reasons, but the best part about it is that the zipper for the men and women's model of this sleeping bag are on opposite sides allowing you to easily zip in with your partner to make a two person sleeping bag.
