2009 - 2010 REI Gives: 2009 Eugene Grant Recipients Free

Annually, REI dedicates a portion of its operating profits to help protect and restore the environment, increase access to outdoor activities, and encourage involvement in responsible outdoor recreation. REI employees nominate organizations, projects, and programs in which they are personally involved to receive funding or gear donations. Kick off the winter season with Altair and REI! The evening events will include a raffle for lift tickets for Willamette Pass, Mt. Hood Meadows, Mt Bachelor, season pass to Hoodoo, outdoor gear and more. Bill Sullivan will give a special presentation, "Oregon's 10 Best Ski and Snowshoe Adventures." Enter for door prizes, and participate in a silent auctions for ski trips. Then check out vendors from Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort, Willamette Pass, Hoodoo Ski Bowl, Mt. Hood Meadows, Berg's Ski and Snowboard Shop and REI Eugene. Vendors' booths will display new winter clothing, sports gear, resort information and fun winter sports activities. A portion of the proceeds from the raffle and silent auction will be donated to Food for Lane County - admission is free, but please bring two cans of food to drop at the door for Food for Lane County. Thank you! 21 and over.

11/15/2009 11:00 AM Snow Sports Vendor Day Free

Snow Sports Vendor Day welcomes all ages and abilities, novice to advance. All Snow Sports including skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. Come to REI Bend in the building with the three Smokestacks, located in the Old Mill District, for this exciting event to talk gear with vendor reps. The Snow Sports Vendor Day will start at 11am-4pm. Vendor reps including Burton, Gnu & Roxy, Volkl, Atlas, Salomon and more will be here at REI Bend to talk gear and answer any questions. The reps will be able answer questions dealing with skis, boots, bindings, snowboards, snowshoes and much more. Come to REI Bend for Snow Sports Vendor Day and have all your questions answered.
