June Weekends
Go Paddle!
Free

For four weekends in June, the Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed Association (WPWA) will sponsor a canoe/kayak trek from the source of the Wood River in Exeter to the outlet of the Pawcatuck River in Westerly. Participants are invited to join us on a guided tour of the most pristine river system in the region as we glide through wildlife management areas, past historic mill villages, and end in downtown Westerly, RI and Stonington, CT. We are looking for experienced paddlers to help out as river leaders.

Each leg of the journey is described below. Paddlers are asked to bring their own canoes/kayaks, lunch, and water. You may join us for one or all of the canoe trips. Participants who complete all four segments will receive a one year complimentary WPWA membership and a celebration luncheon on June 28.
Conact Denise Poyer at denisep@wpwa.org or 401-539-9017 for more information.
