by fromToo Small the listed dimensions are 80 x 48 inches, the actual size is 76 x 40. Nice build quality and warm material but just too small, I am 5' 11" and set this up as soon as i got it but its going back as it dose not cover my head and feet at the same time!

by fromA warm place to sleep on a cool night I used my new ENO Vulcan Underquilt with my ENO Double Nest Hammock on a recent Boy Scout Campout. With the underquilt, I stayed "toasty warm" in my sleeping bag. Once, I noticed that the underquilt must have shifted slightly as one of my shoulders suddenly felt cold where my sleeping bag was compressed against the hammock. With only a minor adjustment, made by simply reaching over the side of the hammock, I immediately remedied the cold spot by restoring the insulating capabilities of the underquilt to my hammock. I highly recommend this product.

by fromGreat underquilt I use my hammock year round and needed a way to keep warm. After trying a cold weather sleeping bag I decided to try this underquilt hoping it was more comfortable. It is. It is made very well and look like it will hold up to regular use. It set up in 30 seconds and was fully adjusted in under 5 minutes. Ive used this every night for 3 weeks with temps down to 30 degrees and have been very happy. I would recommend this product and would buy it again.

by fromGreat investment I looked for months online but couldn't find an underquilt this size (most are shorter). This one covers both my head and feet with wiggle room. As for packing, it packs incredibly well for not being down fill and is very lightweight. Definitely does what it's supposed to. I first used it to camp out for the REI opening in Knoxville a couple weeks ago. It hit about 30 that night, and I was very warm with it and a 50 degree bag-I even had to take my jacket off! An absolute necessity if you're going to be hammocking in cold temperatures.

by fromWarm and Toasty The Vulcan Underquilt simply does what is advertised. Used with my ENO Double Nest Hammock, this product, along with a good sleeping bag, kept me toasty warm on a Boy Scout campout. I did not suffer "numb butt" that one of the other leaders who slept in his ENO Single Nest Hammock without an underquilt, and I did not complain of "sleeping on a root" that was repeated by several of the scouts. Sleeping in the trees is for me, and this product will let me do so in in cooler weather.

by fromExactly what I needed Used this for the first time, on my first campout (mid-november) in Eastern North Carolina. It did exactly what I hoped it would do. Weather was chilly but not too cold and the underquilt kept me toasty all night long with no cold spots. In fact, I had to open up my sleeping bag and eventually just used the bag as a top blanket. I have been sleeping in a hammock for a few years now and this quilt was a going away gift from my Scouts when I moved from the Pacific Northwest to North Carolina. I previously used an air mattress to get insulation but really didn't like the way it slept. This quilt is great. I will now try it out in the colder months this winter. The only issue I had was because I wasn't thorough enough when checking out the quilt at home. The bungee cords that tighten down the ends of the quilt were not tied off and when I started to tighten the cord down around the hammock, one end pulled into the quilt. Had to re-feed it back through. Not really a big deal and it wouldn't have been an issue at all if I had looked more closely when I was playing with it at home. I am a short guy and it was a perfect length for me but I can see where some of my taller camping buddies might like a little more length. The included bag is pretty small but I put it into a different compression sack and got it down very small. Didn't have any issues with getting the loft back when I hung it. All in all I am more than satisfied and can't wait to get back out into the cold to sleep in the trees.
