Rated5out of5byRunner MomfromLove it!!I am a runner and I have so called athletic calves that measure 14" around. I could technically wear the regular Original boot but I am glad I got the adjustable (still Original Boot) because I can comfortably tuck in my jeans. If I'm not wearing anything underneath, I can keep the adjustable buckle at the tightest. If I'm wearing my jeans AND the inner socks (sold separately), I can make the opening wider but still keep them tight enough to feel comfortable wearing the boots. I am short (about 5'1") and I was worried about the height but I am totally fine with it as along as I'm doing regular activities like driving, walking, gardening, etc. I'm not planning on riding a bike or doing a lot of activities while wearing those boots but I can see it might hurt the back of my knees in doing those activities. I was also thinking of getting the "Huntress" which is also for wide calves but they're shorter and also wider from the ankle on. I'm glad I didn't get them! I normally wear size 7 shoes and I got this in size 7 (or 38 Euro). It is big on me and I might've been able to wear a size smaller, but again it's not causing any problems walking in them and I like wearing real thick wool socks in winter so I'm fine with it. If you are in between sizes (like 7.5, 8.5), I'd go down half a size though.

Rated4out of5byLGaitanfromGreat rain bootsThese are really good looking boots and considering some reviews I had read, I was surprised to find that they fit me really well. The only drawback I have found with these is the height. The store I went to only had knee-high boots and I have a rather low knee. While everything fits comfortably (foot & calf) when I'm standing, when I sit down the top of the boot hits the back of my leg right above my knee. This isn't so bad except when I'm riding my bike -- the constant push against the joint gets a bit uncomfortable.
