NEMO Pentalite 4 Shelter - 2013 Closeout
With 5 sides instead of 4, the NEMO Pentalite 4P shelter offers a covered sleeping area plus a roomy vestibule area making it great for backpacking, car camping or a picnic shelter.
- Unique pentagonal shape gives a near rectangular sleeping space for 4 people; a full, trianglar vestibule provides a storage area for gear
- Includes a DAC® monopole; pole port is weatherproof and minimizes abrasion
- Direct guyout points keep the NEMO Pentalite 4P shelter anchored in windy conditions; door can be tied back
- Volumizing vents can be guyed out to expose mesh-protected panels and significantly increase interior space
- It's also possible to support the Pentalite shelter with a trekking pole or kayak paddle, both not included
- NEMO Pentalite features 2 Gear Caddies, 1 on each side of the shelter; each caddie has 2 integrated light-diffusing pockets and 1 additional storage pocket
- Convert the Pentalite shelter into a fully weatherproof and bugproof tent by adding the optional Wedge inner tent (sold separately).
- Includes DAC monopole, roll-top stuff sack, stakes and repair kit

First thing, if you like the self standing tent design you won't like this. Now that that's out of the way, here's the good I have to say. I like tipi shelters. I like not having a floor for spilling food, and dirty boots. I like the fact that the tent may be set up higher or lower with the adjustable aluminum pole. This lets you have a nice floor vent at the bottom, or seals down tight to the ground to keep all the heat in. The tent is very light for a 4 man shelter that would hold 5 men in a pinch. The system is very modular. With a sold separately zip in floor, and additional foot print, it can be set up in many combinations. We like to use it with the foot print and shelter only.
