Offering a nonbinding fit, rugged outer shorts are water-resistant, breathable and quick drying; reinforced stitching on stress zones
Fabric is treated with a Durable Water Repellent finish that causes water to bead up and roll off
Waistband has adjustable tabs to fine-tune the fit; front zipper and snap-closure deliver quick on/off
Raised high-back waistband provides coverage when you're up and down, in and out of saddle

My first pair of biking shorts. For someone that can't compare it to anything else, here's what I observed. The padding seems good in riding position; however, feels a little awkward when walking around. I noticed a great increase in comfort for longer and aggressive rides. The material seems durable and feels light. I also want to mention that the material makes that nylon rubbing noise while biking. Overall, I am satisfied with the shorts. They were designed for mountain biking and perform that task to standard. Bottom-line: they stay in position while riding and offer padding.
