Comments about Osprey Manta 20 Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz. - 2012 Closeout:
As a family with kids, I always ended up carrying a bunch of water bottles in a back pack. Uncomfortable for me, and rather impractical. We started investigating hydration packs. Our wish list consisted of carrying comfort and heat, and size. We have done a lot of serious hiking in the past, and are used to serious hiking back packs. The back structure of the Ospreys was the best we could find. In terms of size, we are looking for day packs right now. We slowly want to increase the number of packs we have, so that once the pack fits the kids they can continue to use them. We hike with camera gear and wanted a pack big enough to carry that, but not so big that everything got dumped in it. I have been really happy with the pack so far. We did wait to buy it on sale (and with a 25% off) because they are on the expensive side. Will buy another when we see a good deal.
