Comments about Chaco Z/2 Unaweep CYW Sandals - Men's:
I just got back from a trip to NYC and used these as my primary walking shoes. I did bring another pair of shoes as these were new and I didn't know what to expect; I bought them as a rafting sandal.
I walked all over the city wearing these sandals and was amazed at how much support and cushioning they gave me; I was not expecting it. These worked great for city walking unlike any other pair of rafting shoes/sandals I've owned.
I've also had the opportunity to use them on the Deschutes River. They gave me ample traction, not the best I've had but good enough. They worked well enough in the water and transitioned to land okay. I did have to tighten the straps when I got them wet, but no big deal.
The biggest problem I'm having with these sandals is one someone else referred to as well; the straps self-tighten around the big toe over time. I've had to stop and loosen them else they become uncomfortable. As I really like these sandals, I'm going to try to figure out a way to stop this from happening by stitching the straps over the big toes to one another.
Feels true to size
Feels true to width
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
