I live in the Houston area - where it often does not get below 90 until November. Long pants are often uncomfortably hot but shorts are often out-of-place, especially for a man over a "certain age." These are very well-made, lightweight, quick-drying but look great as well. They are not cheap but this is truly a case of you get what you pay for. I am a 33" waist and the size 34 fits perfectly.
