Rated2out of5byryan11111fromDissapointedI bought this item after my previous pair wore out. The previous pair was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I wore them everyday for 3 years and loved them. They finally wore out so I purchased the new style of the same item. They still have all the great characteristics as the first pair but they make my wife and I's feet stink. I dont think it is us. I think it is something with the material. I will be returning them and will order the older style if I can find them online.

Rated3out of5byTrygerfromFathomDefinitely the most comfortable flops I've owned - they have great arch support, wonderful fit, and a nice heft (though that took a little getting used to at first). Simple and attractive to boot.
The biggest downfall for me has been the durability. I bought mine 3 months ago and the foot bed is already seriously cracking at the toe connection and the strap is starting to pull up a bit. I use them every day, including hiking and work, but I figured Chaco would make a longer lasting product. I have friends that have owned the Vibe flops, that have a different sole and footbed, for many years without troubles. Perhaps the "ecotread" isn't the most durable.

Rated5out of5byOryfromBuy a pair...I had a pair of Chaco flops that lasted five years of almost daily use--although they are still in working order, I decided it was about time to get a new pair. Chaco is an incredible company that makes remarkable products. Buy a pair.

Rated4out of5byericpfromComfortable and DurableI have worn these all summer for going to class, yard work, buying groceries, going on hikes and everything in between. I tried every flip flop I could find at REI and elsewhere and these had the best combination of durability and comfort. The arch support is amazing, and they are are super durable. I honestly didn't like the straps at first, but they don't bother me now. What I do like about the straps is that they are woven nylon and will probaly last for years. Chaco's are heavier than other flip flops out there, but again that is a good thing because they have excellent shock support (I am 230lbs) and don't seem to have broken down at all this summer. I took these sandles on a hike and had to go off the trail on some terrain I should have had hiking boots, but these things didn't blow out on me. Most other flip flops would have been ruined. I see a small tear where one of the straps goes into the sandle, but I'm not concerned. I expect these things to last me for years.
These sandles deserve 4 1/2 stars because the straps aren't that big of a deal, but that is the only thing wrong with them.

Rated5out of5byKDelongfromThe perfect flip flopPerfect arch support for my 50 year old feet. I have two pairs that I live in from April to October. After several years they are more comfortable than ever and look just as good as the day i bought them.
Great for kicking around but fully suitable for lots of standing or several mile walks. I never would knew I could be so comfortable in a flip flop.

Rated4out of5byChasefromGreat flop, built for long-haul comfortGreat pair of flops and they feel sturdy enough to last several seasons. My last pair of flip flops was Sanuk, after taking them to Hawaii and wearing them for 7 straight days I ended up with blisters and the area on the balls of my feet completely wore out rendering them unusable. I've put several miles on these and there is no sign of wear. These also float! They are kind of heavy and bulky but that's the trade off for something that will last. Unlike the foam soled flip flops the soles on these are very sturdy, I took them out for some light scrambling during a hiking trip and couldn't feel the jagged rocks beneath me. The straps do not have any give to them so if you are thinking they'll stretch out a little think again.

Rated4out of5byH4fromcomfortableFirst type of this sandal I ever bought and was comfortable enough I like to wear a lot. These were expensive, but I also like the texture of the footbed and how it kind of massages my feet as I walk. I would buy these again.
