Comments about BioLite CampStove Grill:
Works great, but you have to keep the stove stoked up with a HOT fire. That is not a problem just a comment.
Very nice if you don't mind a large addition in your backpack. Cooks great if kept HOT. Gets pretty dirty when grilling, but cleans up easily. The cover makes it easy to put away without cleaning until you get home.

Comments about BioLite CampStove Grill:
The food you place on the grill will stick to the grill like any use of a grill the first time. To avoid this slightly oil the grill with a thin coat of oil. A better suggestion is to cut an onion (better to use vidala onion or any big onion) and use the cut side on the grill by rubbing the cut side all over the grill when the grill is just starting the heat up, this gives the grill the right amout of oiling for food not to stick and your food will not taste like onion. To control the amout of heating time the food is cooking for start by cooking the item of food away from the fire first on both sides to help lock in the juices of the food and progressivly move the item of food towards the fire. Why? The BioLite Stove burns very hot, it's that good. Where the fire burns hottest heats up a lot quicker charring your food more quickly and eventually burning it because your food needs to be throughly cooked (like meats, pultry, and fish). Instead oil the gril, via onion or slight coat of oil, keep the fan on low once the fire starts to go, place food on outer far end (south of fire source)of grill, cook both sides there first to lock juices, then move towards the center of the grill to finish off. For fruits and veggies to get that quick charred look using the grill towards the heat source is actually better and quicker, just remember to pre-onion or boil. Grill works amazing! Cooking times vary differently depending on rain, rain cover, region, or wind conditions. Test was done indoors. Will update when using in windy and rainy conditions. Hope these tricks help to better use your BioLite Grill.

This grill worked great! I used hickory wood chips in my unit. It works kinda like a smoker grill. my burgers cooked in 10 minutes and had a nice hickory smoke flavor. I tried some thick chicken breasts also and they cooked in about 20 minutes. It cooks meat very evenly due to the screen beneath the grate. cleans nicely also. you could burn hickory, mesquite, cherry, or applewood chips in it for whatever flavor you are looking for. there is a learning curve on keeping a constant supply of heat. a small handful of woodchips every 4 minutes worked for me. I give it an A+.

Comments about BioLite CampStove Grill:
I've owned this grill for about 1 week, and I've grilled bison burgers on it in my backyard and venison while on lunch break, volunteering at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. The design is well thought-out, expanding on the CampStove's innovative features like foldable legs and stainless steel construction. The grill surface has 3 different temperature zones (a convenient feature) which are caused by both the grill shape and the fan's twisting effect on the flame direction. I found tongs to be one of the better tools to use to manipulate the food on the grill, although the grill has a lip, so your spatula won't just slide the food off the grill onto the ground. Adding wood to the stove is fairly easy. The parts (grill body; flame spreader/fuel lid; and grill grate) come apart easily for cleaning. The plastic cover makes it a cinch to transport after using. It is compact, easy to use, & nice to look at.
