Comments about CygoLite ExpiliOn 600 USB Front Bike Light:
I bought this light for commuting. It has multiple power settings, from several steady beams to a decent strobe, all of which are great. The flashing top button lets me know when it's time to recharge.
Recharging is done via a handy USB port built into the top of the light. With the supplied cable, it can be done using either an electrical outlet or a USB connector on a computer. Unfortunately, the Achilles heel on the light is the USB cover, a flimsy rubber gasket that is not only hard to seat when not in use, but held into the light by a then rubber stem which pops out much too easily.
Great light aside from that feature.

Comments about CygoLite ExpiliOn 600 USB Front Bike Light:
Great light. This is the first "real" headlight I have ever owned, so I was expecting to be impressed. Very, very bright. The high (400 lumen) setting is more than enough for the darkest unlit streets. I expect to only use boost (600 lumens) in extremely wet conditions, when surfaces are less reflective. The daylight flash mode is bright enough to bounce a reflection back at me from street signs on my morning commute. Pulse mode is great for night riding when you want a steady beam and an attention-grabbing flash in one. The only downside I can see thus far is a lack of side lighting. Not charging extra for a wall charger and the replaceable batteries make this a GREAT value.

Comments about CygoLite ExpiliOn 600 USB Front Bike Light:
I use the light for riding at night which I do frequently. It provides plenty of light with a very uniform pattern. I can easily see the path ahead far enought to avoid any debris in the road.
The first unit I got wouldn't charge out of the box. REI replaced it and the second one has performed flawlessly for over a year. I also like the replaceable standard battery feature since all rechargeables eventually die.

Comments about CygoLite ExpiliOn 600 USB Front Bike Light:
This is a powerful light that you can use at night with no streetlights to actually see where you are going. It is amazing that such a powerful light is packaged in a solid smal lightweight package. It is much lighter than a battery powered light. This light will blind you if you actually look at it, it is that powerful. It has about 10 different modes you can choose from. During daytime, I turn on the flashing mode for drivers to see me. It is so bright it is very visable during a bright sunny day. At night you can ride without streetlights in pitch black and actually see the road 25 feet in front of you. It is like having a automobile headlight on your bike. At night it also has a mode where it gives a steady light and then flashes at the same time. (I am a big believer in flashing lights to increase your visablility.) I can tell from drivers reactions that they are noticing me. Battery lasts about what is advertised - 2-3 hours of constant use. It feels like a solid piece of construction. The USB recharging port allows it to plug into any computer and recharge from there or you can use the dedicated charger that comes with it.
Dislikes - Well they are minor. The rubber cover for the USB port never seems to go back in all the way and keeps popping open. The mounting system has these stick-on spongy pads to give the mounting system some give. I think a rubber cushion may have more longevity as I don't know how to get more of the stick ons should I need one. The 700 series comes with a helmet mount included - this probably costs nothing for the manufacturer and should have been included. It would be also nice if it could remember what mode I used the last time and immediately go to that mode. I have to scroll through all the modes to get to the one I want. These are minor and this is really a great bright light. I worry it is too bright, but that is good!
